 it’s   no   surprise   that   the   name   rings   no   bells.     with   his   follower   count   always   going   up,   and   a   slew   of   different   people   interacting   with   him   on   a   daily   basis,   he   barely   remembers   his   own   username,   nevermind   anybody   else’s.     that   being   said,   there   is   a   part   of   him     (   as   small   as   it   may   be   )     that   truly   appreciates   the   people   giving   him   a   chance.     yes,   he’s   done   this   himself,   constructed   a   career   from   nothing   but   his   own   steep   ambition,   but   people   being   there   ready   to   consume   what   he   creates   and   see   it   along   makes   his   life   easier.     somewhere   in   that   chasm   of   a   soul,   crow   feels   a   slight   inkling   of   earnest.

              he   takes   another   sip   of   his   milkshake   before   his   grin   sharpens   tenfold.     what   once   was   a   picture   of   restrained   politeness   has   transformed   into   something   playfully   menacing.     the   man   flicks   his   straw   in   the   other’s   vague   direction.

          ------    HE  DOESN’T    know  how  this  is  happening.    he  has  no  idea  how  this  can  be  so  casual,  and  so  it  makes  him  even  more  awkward  and  anxious  about  saying  something  stupid.    when  suddenly  asked  such  a  question,  he  only  stares  for  the  longest  time  before  trying  to  think  about  it.    zayden  isn’t  someone  who’s  done  a  lot  of  things,  seeing  as  he  likes  things  planned  out  and  organised...    there’s  really  only  one  thing  he’s  done  that’s  been  sudden  and  spontaneous.

                                      ‘ it’s  not  really...    a  wild  thing  but--    i  have  a  pet                                        fox  that  i  found  alone  in  a  ditch  a  few  years  ago,                                        and  originally  i  thought  about  calling  animal  services                                        or  the  police...    but  i  ended  up  bringing  him  home                                        instead  and  he  just  kinda  became  my  family...    i  do                                        wish  i  could  do  other  things,  but...    i’m  kinda  scared                                        about  doing  something  i’ll  regret. ‘

              yeah,   he   thinks,   i   know.     instead   of   voicing   anything,   he   opts   for   an   inoffensive   rub   at   his   neck,   feigning   sheepishness   as   he   naturally   poses   for   the   camera.

               ❛   well,   i’d   hope   so.    i   spend   a   long   time   gettin’   ready…   ❜

              it’s   the   perfect   time   for   an   adorable   sip   at   his   milkshake.     since   getting   more   into   the   modelling   scene,   he’s   become   more   content   with   treats.     while   he   still   micromanages   every   single   thing   he   takes   in,   he   doesn’t   feel   quite   as   guilty   when   he   inevitably   craves   something   simply   for   the   taste   of   it.     he   can   always   burn   it   off   later.

          ------    HE  DOESN’T    have  any  idea  how  much  time  it  takes  him,  but  it’s  not  something  he  can  begin  to  imagine  either  due  to  how  lazy  he  is  with  himself.    getting  up  is  the  challenge  most  of  the  time  for  him,  though  this  isn’t  said  out  loud  as  he  hums  and  looks  at  the  photo  with  a  slow  blink,  as  if  he  still  can’t  seem  to  believe  it.

          ------    NOT  THAT    he  expects  the  name  to  ring  any  bells  to  him.    there’s  plenty  of  people  trying  to  get  his  attention  in  comments  and  tags,  so  he  simply  likes  everything  and  remains  a  quiet  follower.    his  own  instagram  is  filled  with  only  pictures  of  robin  after  all,  and  maybe  that’s  not  so  interesting.

- his full name is zayden brookes - he has a pet fox called robin (as in robin hood cause he loves disney) - he’s 23 - can nap anywhere don’t test him he loves sleep - that’s it for now bye

              the   smile   on   his   face   only   gets   wider   as   he   takes   into   account   how   easy   the   other   is   to   fluster.     as   far   as   crow’s   concerned,   this   is   easy   pickings   for   him.     nevertheless,   he’s   all   about   maintaining   his   image   with   the   public;     the   last   thing   he   needs   is   to   scare   away   the   people   who   display   interest   in   him.

          ------    HE  GIVES    him  a  blank  look  for  a  long  moment,  still  stuck  on  the  fact  that  he’s  talking  to  one  of  his  idols.    zayden  swallows  thickly  for  a  moment  before  beginning  to  fidget  with  the  straw  of  his  own  drink.    he  doesn’t  want  to  interrupt  anything,  but  at  the  same  time  he  feels  as  if  this  is  a  once  in  a  lifetime  opportunity,  and  so  he  gets  up  and  decides  to  join  the  other,  once  again  tapping  at  his  phone  before  holding  it  up  with  the  obvious  intention  of  snapping  a  better,  less  creepy,  photo.
