A lot has been written on this already, so let’s go at it from a different angle this time. Let’s look at life through the eyes of 21st century whiteboi.
You grow up a little, probably quite insulated in some suburb, and eventually you go to school and learn about your country’s history. That history will involve lots of conquest and colonialism and taking over half the world. And yet, even though all of this happened just 100-150 years ago, it seems to have lost all relevance. All the old white empires are long gone and the philosophy that undergirded them is nowadays called “white supremacy” and “racism” and considered very immoral. And you personally really have no idea how one would go about doing colonialism or why anyone would even want to. Your recent ancestors with all their strange motivations may as well be aliens to you.
To make matters even more awkward, some of your classmates are descendants of people who, according to your history books, were considered inferior by your alien ancestors. But they don’t seem inferior at all. In fact, they seem to be generally more naturally athletic than you, have a lot more social confidence and are more fun to be around, and have an easier time with the girls (or maybe they’re just more persistent than you). All the things a teenage whiteboi considers cool, his Black and Brown classmates are better at. Hmmm.
And yet things are about to get even worse. You as a young white guy may have recently learned that women weren’t allowed to fully participate in public life until just a few decades ago because, and we seem to be hitting a theme here, your silly ancestors considered them inferior. But it hasn’t escaped your notice that your white girl peers are outperforming the white guys academically and if you were to look up college graduation and career performance figures for young whites, you’d see this trend continue. Also, so many young women seem to be shaping the political and cultural movements of your generation. Hmmmmm!
You get the ominous feeling that your ancestors must have been very confused about most things and listening to their opinions doesn’t seem to help you navigate your world in the slightest. So you must turn elsewhere for guidance. Pop culture, what do you have to say about all of this?
Now that seems to be making a lot more sense to you. While obviously edgy and exaggerated sometimes, it actually speaks to your real-life experience. Maybe you really aren’t the center of the universe, even if your great-grandfather thought so. Maybe it’s time to let others shine--maybe they’ll even outshine you and that’s fine. Maybe the idea even excites you a little bit.
And what if we took that seed of excitement and added some extremely arousing visuals, what would that look like? Well, somewhat like this:
Blacked shows you very attractive people having interracial sex, which is obviously the main appeal here, but it also tells you a story: the story of sexually liberated and perky white women seeking out the company of ripped and equally confident Black men. That’s a story you as a 21st century whiteboi can very much relate to. It’s one you’ve learned in your own life and further bought into via pop culture and it pushes all your buttons without seeming like obvious fantasy. It looks good to you, but it also looks so right. You just can’t avert your eyes!
Of course you still might want to have sex with a white woman yourself at some point. But that doesn’t change the fact that interracial pairings are the most arousing to you after all. Much like short guys generally don’t seek out porn with short performers to validate themselves, you’d rather watch the sexiest actors go at it than those who look more like yourself. It’s quite natural.
And that’s why you have a hard time getting over it. But why would you want to get over it anyway? If interracial love and sex are the pinnacle of human beauty, then by all means, we should want to see more of it, right?
