Shit. You were trying to hold back those tears for the whole day and you just closed your eyes. Traitors.
You bite your lip hard enough that it hurts a little, snatch a tissue off a nearby table and shove it on your eyes. A shaky breath comes out. Partly because youāre embarrassed, you donāt want him to see this, and because all the thoughts come rushing back to you.
āItāsā¦ā you drop your shoulders, trying to gather your breath so you wouldnāt stutter like an idiot. āItās not. We donāt have toā¦ you donāt have to. Iāll be fine. I can deal with this myself.ā
You start walking for the doorway when fingers wrap around your wrist.

Youāre grimacing when you take a peek to those intense red lights boring through you, like theyāre looking at your soul. You let more tears fall.

āā¦ Damn.ā You didnāt realize how tense you were, it felt like it melted away as soon as he reminded you of that.
He leads you by the hand back to the couch, behind the table, and sits the both of you down.
āso. are you going to tell me what happened?ā He prompts, assertively yet gently at the same time. You fist your hand and press it to your quivering lips, cheeks red from the deluge of tears coming up as you thought about it.
Sansā hard expression softens when he sees your shuddering hands, his eyelights getting a softer quality to them. He breathes.
āā¦ and you tell me that i have issues with emotional constipation.ā
He smiles when he hears you laugh, unexpected, that you immediately try to cover up. You think other people might be intimidated by the display of those shark teeth, the golden glinting into their eyes, but you find his grin handsome. Reassuring.
You wipe your eyes and let your giggles disappear on their own before you tell him whatās on your mind.
Youāre reminded how much itās worth telling when he draws you in to his warm chest and lets your tears stain his sweater. You fall asleep on the couch with him before you know it.
