You 🫵 put one lesser known fact about your oc in the tags.
Happy Birthday, Matthew
Day 3: Curse
I've explained in this post how I imagine Matthew Hinks' curse to have manifested (and my hcs about his family's reaction to that), so here's a little set of art based off of it! I recommend reading the post for more context. Also this is probably the prompt for @plagueroundcountdown that I spent the most time conceptualising and making and had an absolute blast as usual! I cannot stop thinking about the teachers so this was the perfect opportunity to make more content :-D
And the DnD server is made! Sort of! It will probably still be a little bit before the campaign can actually start, but feel free to join so long
Scared you'll be too busy to play? Don't worry! There's a spectators lounge where you can hang out and watch the chaos unfold without having to play!
The (knockoff) Plagueround
drawing of the 3rd episode it was so insane i canttt
Between
"I am into him" "Congratulations"
and "How's your wife" "My husband is fine actually"
I think Hinks is officially my favorite teacher
(This is just an interest check because I'm currently swamped under assignments but-)
Would anyone be interested in playing a (partially homebrewed) game based on the Plagueround? Like, same npc's, same setting everything, just with a different storyline, if that makes sense?
It'll probably be a one-shot, so not a long campaign and played over text (I do not want to put anyone through my stuttering and it makes timezones easier).
No prior knowledge of DnD is really needed and Rule of Cool will be the general vibe, so if anyone is interested, let me know in the reblogs, comments or dms!
There are unlimited options but I’m gonna go with:
I’m Gluten Freeeee
diversity win! the creature hunting you through the torture maze is gay
and south african!
scary south african creature of the maze 😭😭😭
Just a silly little thought, but what if, when the boys are older, they become the new teachers?
Roland will probably end up being the Steward of Understanding. Professor Hinks taught him a lot, and if anyone is the epitome of understanding, it's Roland. Sometimes, a blessing is a curse in disguise but it takes understanding, and a kind hand, to accept that. Roland has a lot of experience with both.
Monty will be the Steward of Control. It took years, and time, but he learned to control his curse. If he could, anyone can. It just takes practice, patience and the most important of all, friends.
(Now, it's a toss up between Kevin and Edgar because we haven't really met the Steward of Respect, yet but) I think Edgar would probably end up being the Steward of Respect. Poe and him, they respect each other. It took a lot of pecks, blood and torn clothes, but they reached that point. They learned how the other works. Learning to respect others and your own curse, especially when it wasn't what you thought (or hoped) it would be, it takes a while but it's worth it.
And finally, Kevin. The new Hexmaster. He didn't judge Monty because of his curse all those years ago, instead, he did his best to help. And all those cursed boys? That's what they need. Someone who cares and doesn't judge.
This doodle kind of blew up on the rfth discord so here we are
Big fan of the forms of transportation described
Sometimes family is just you and the three other 10/11 year old boys who parent you.
For some reason I have a feeling that Roland's Voice might not be a curse at all. Like, the glowing hands thing are, but the Voice is something much more sinister. It's just the way it latches onto Roland's faith and ideals, exploiting them. Roland's curse is also different from everybody else's in a sense that he has two. Other curses that we've seen are rather simple in their nature. Even Edgar's Poe, despite being a living creature, does not posses much human level intelligence. Roland, on the other hand, does not only have a Voice that is completely sentient, intelligent, with its own will, he also has a second power that is this "holy magic" thingy.
He just wanted them to stop running off
(My favorite dynamic btw)
A quick (very badly done) sketch before I focus on my assignments
(The Roland angst in the last ep killed me😭)
