I saw Shang-Chi on Tuesday night! I can’t not write a Fic about him!!! So I apologize in advance. I’m getting a feel of how I should write him in the future!!!
“Yeah sure.” He answered your rather dry question.
You smiled and regretted bringing up something like top ramen as a food. You were beating yourself up in your head at the comment you made. Shang-chi could see you were upset suddenly and moved in closer to you as you walked making it a point to take his hand out of his pocket.
Your knuckles rubbed against each other and as he saw your smirk before your eyes he laced his fingers in yours and smiled as your eyes finally met his. You giggled as you met his smile and looked ahead of you as you rubbed his hand with your thumb.
“So what next?” You ask lightly and he shrugged.
“What you thinking? Dessert or walking through the park?”
“How about walking through the park with dessert?” You asked with a big smile as you pointed to the food truck that was selling desserts at the park entrance.
“Oh hell yeah! Let’s go!” He yanked your hand into the road and you laughed as you sprinting hand in hand across four lanes of traffic that was in the middle of a red light.
You laughed and squealed as you ran and Shang laughed with you. Once on the sidewalk he wrapped his arms around you in a hug and you laughed into him at the ridiculous behavior the two of you just park took in. He smiled down at you and pressed a kiss into your hair before letting you to and taking your hand again and taking you to the window of the truck where the gentleman was just helping one other person.
“There you go! Enjoy! What can I get you two?” He asked and you held your chin as you looked at all the images of items he sold.
“We’ll get two peanut butter banana splits. No fruit and extra whipped cream!” You said excitedly and Shang looked at you in surprise as you ordered two.
“Yeah! You’ll love it!” You giggled as you hugged his middle and the Manx in the truck laughed while going ahead with making the two treats.
“This is a nice change. I’m glad you’re more comfortable.” He said softly into your ear and you beamed as you snuggled into him.
He grinned and rubbed his hand up and down your back while waiting on the desserts.
“Here you are. Now be careful with that. It’s messy.” The man instructed as he placed two spoons out and you took them while Shang grabbed the bowls.
You pulled a $20 out of your pocket and set it down before Shang could realize what you’d done. You winked as you were given your change and made sure to leave a $5 as you hooked your arm in Shangs and walked off.
“You’re a real pro at first dates. You know that?” He commented as you took your own dessert and you glared at him before giggling and kissing his cheek.
“The first date is when they realize how much of a freak I am in person. But I’ve known you long enough with work and life so. Ya know. Kinda made it easier.” You admitted and Shang smiled at the honesty.
“I’d have to agree with you. I wasn’t sure you’d actually say yes. But something told me I should shoot my shot. Also Katy kinda got in the middle of it like she does.” You giggled and let out a breath at the mention of Katy.
“Right?! I regret flirting with you in front of her. For that reason alone.” You shrugged and ate a spoon full of whipped cream.
“I would have asked you out either way.” You said simply and Shang blushed at that.
“It’s true! I really like you Shang. Like. I have for a while. So that’s another reason it’s been weird. I was just expecting too much from myself. You having me run across the street like that. I don’t know. It was what I needed.” You stopped and stood in front of him as you spoke.
“So…physical activity with me. It’s refreshing?” His expression turned devious with a wink afterwards.
You gasped and laughed as he moved in closer and held onto your hip with his free hand. You held his forearm as you met his gaze. He leaned in and you didn’t hesitate as you moved your hand to his chin and kissed him on the lips. He stiffened and relaxed into your touch as your hand moved to his neck.
