We voted over the weekend, but I think it’ll be the highlight of our week! This is the first presidential election that NYC has allowed early voting for, and I hope it will be expanded (more poll sites) and become the norm for everyone in every state. A quick PSA if you hear anyone sharing “make Election Day a federal holiday” bs, please remind them that plenty of people work busier schedules with limited public transport on federal holidays, and that action would only make it harder for them to vote. Let’s just get rid of Election Day, yeah? We’re all struggling at the moment. But please think of the cats that had to give up their pampered lives of just the right amount of human attention, luxurious day naps, and 18 hours of sleep a day in order to make room for their quarantined humans.
