 The Water Dragon is often outstanding and attracts great attention and publicity. Dragons enjoy being the focus and will face problems well if they face them. The Dragon can be described as a performer. Water Dragon’s views are highly appreciated because they are usually interested in expressing their views. They are very vigorous and often prepared to work long hours to achieve what they want. Sometimes they are quite impulsive and do not always take into account the consequences. They tend to live in the present without thinking much about the future.

Art "Elysian Plane" by Kudashkina

To create a better world, we must first behold it in our mind’s eye, then build it. The Elysian Plain, or ‘Elysium’, was in Greek mythology, a place of perfect happiness inhabited by heroes. We are them, we simply must find that plane of existence, then hold the thread until we arrive. The idea for this painting came from a short story a friend told of a people that, in order for their planet to survive, they needed to leave its natural star. In order to have heat and light, they needed to create their own. This is that star. These people are untethered, in deep, dark space, warm and alive, circling nothing, on the Elysian Plane.

“Luna” - original painting by Natasha Kudashkina www.natashadesign.com When my brain gets overstimulated by the information that surrounds me, often arriving even without permission, I find drawing always helps me go back into more calm state. In particular, a profile of woman wearing a headpiece and her hair in an extravagant way. I don’t know why. I’ve never seen her exactly, but something in me IS her, and it feels right to see her appear. With this artwork I wanted to explore the profile in color and movement of a brush rather than how she usually appears, from a pen. Creation of it helped me to relax my mind, as expected. When things get stressful and overwhelming, I encourage you to grab a pen and draw on paper. Or a brush. What do draw? Anything really, just lines or swirls are perfectly fine.
