OKAY SO I HATE MY COMPUTER RN. i’ve tried to restart it like ten times now and it does not want to.....and i was in the middle of going thru my replies/asks to which nothing saved in my drafts. soooooo i’m like crying internally rn but i promise i’ll reply in the morn hopefully.

anyways on a much brighter note my first graders are having a trip tomorrow and i'm going with them!! my first trip as a day camp counselor woooo☺️☺️i'm honestly rlly excited even tho they're just going to a science museum (how fUN)

“They have the new girls to chase after.” She said. She grabbed his arm and shook her head. “No Nate you can’t. I don’t want to know what they’ll do to me if I tell on them! Please don’t tell anyone. Not even Teddy.” She said and gave him her puppy dog eyes. “Please Nate. I don’t want to get hurt.” She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed him to let him know how scared she was.

Even with Juliet wrapped around his body, it took every power in him to not follow his feet out the door. None of what she was saying made sense. If she didn’t tell other people, she would get hurt. If she did tell other people, she would still get hurt. He didn’t see a difference in the two, the only thing that became evident was that she was getting hurt at all. “Juliet Rose Charming,” His voice was an exact mirror of his father’s. “These kids are bullying you and you expect me to stand by and do nothing? You’re going to get hurt if you don’t say something.” He retorted. “Don’t you remember those bullying commercials? ‘If you see something, you say something.’, or am I thinking about something different?”

“Yeah because cute boys are always chasing me.” She sighed and sat up. “Well the new kids, some who are sweet, are a bit scary. Especially Hades’ kids. The one stole fairy godmother’s wand and threatened me if I told, the other told me I was unimportant and boring, and another burnt my hair! And right before the ball! And let’s not even get me started on Wesley and Nova and ugh!” She ranted and flopped back on the bed. “Why is everything so complicated?”

“Why wouldn’t they, Juju?” He replied. As he laid there listening to the horrible things the Hades’ kids did to his little sister, he couldn’t help but feel an anger ignite within him, even more so when he heard someone lit her hair on fire. Like actual flame to hair action, which seemed unthinkable since they were guests at their school and not the other way around. Studying her hair more and more, he could even see the charred ends that were left over from the incident. “Jesus Christ, Juju. Your hair was burned, like actually burned.” He couldn’t grasp the idea of villains bullying his little sister since all he ever did since their arrival was be nice to them but now he couldn’t help but feel rage towards the Hades’ kids. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? I’m going straight to the headmaster’s office to tell her about this. I better not hear any protest from you.”

A laugh followed by a sly comment came from behind, leaving Nate to laugh along with the stranger. “I’m guessing that proposal didn’t persuade you enough to say yes?” He closed his locker with one swift motion as his turned to face the male.

Hearing this she turned her attention back to him, she liked that she seemed to have him interested enough to follow behind. “Well since you were a good sport, next time I’ll go easier on you.” She went over to him and crossed her arms over her chest, “Chill out? I might be interested, what would we be doing?”

He led Nova to a nearby tree, which in fact had an abundant supply of leaves that were casting the right shadow for the two of them to cool off in. “Actually chilling out.” He said, looking over his shoulder. Hopefully she was following in his footsteps, considering he didn’t know if he could handle running to catch up with her again.

She rolled her eyes and laughed. She had missed sharing a house with her brother. “No you go first. My stories will take awhile.” She sighed and shook her head. She laid back and looked at the ceiling. She always was better at listening I nothing distracted her so a blank ceiling was better than nothing.

“Well recently nothing in my life has been all that interesting. So why don’t you go first? I’m sure you’re dying to tell me about all the cute boys who’ve been chasing you this new school year.” He looked over at Juliet who seemed to be a little distant. She didn’t seem to be her usual fun-loving self, who always laughed at Nate’s stupid comments. “Are you okay?” His tone was protective yet assertive at the same time.
