i think the hottest look you can give someone after they commit acts of unspeakable violence is approval. like don't get me wrong if there's lust there too that's great, but staring at someone with gore dripping down their chin and coating their hands to the wrists with undisguised appraisal and admiration. maybe giving them a little nod as if to say 'well done'. THAT'S what says "yeah we're gonna fuck nasty later".
"i could fix him" well i could pat him on the head and tell him he's a good boy
one Leverage detail that i think is overlooked is that Hardison canonically attends the Oscars every year since he was 15. and in the flashback, he’s clearly in the very front row when he’s applauding as Halle Berry wins Best Actress (which would’ve been 2002, when she became the first Black woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress). it even seems like he actually talked to Halle Berry since he says "I told you this was your night" while applauding. so basically he’s had a front row seat at the Oscars since age 15 and mingled with stars and evidently has never been caught, and it’s only briefly mentioned once as a throwaway joke. he’s that good and he’s been that good since he was literally a teenager. his side quests are legendary. and now i desperately need to see him bring some of the team to the Oscars as his plus-ones.
Hey do you guys think about Alec Hardison im thinking about Alec Hardison lets all take a moment to think about Alec Hardison in fact we should always be thinking of Alec Hardison
sex is some naked bullshit and food is some crap they found on the ground but online poker is forever

In character. Aligns with canon materials
Not necessarily in character, but still more or less aligns with canon materials
Out of character

Mischaracterization getting so brutal I'm about to ask people for sources and citations on their wrong opinions

Leverage S03E15 The Big Bang Job.
Had a friend express worry that Eliot Spencer gets injured so often in leverage and I had to reassure them: no no. U dont get it his old job was "getting the shit beat out of you constantly for the sake of people who dont care if u live or die," and then afterward he had to drag himself home, patch himself up, and do it all over again tomorrow. NOW he gets minor cuts and bruises (usually), and the moment the job is done his whole clingy crime family gets to go "oh that looks like it hurts let's get you some bacitracin and bruise cream!! Do you wanna cook dinner to feel better?" And then they all make sure he is never in any true mortal danger and he always gets a say in what he does for the job. This is like a working dog who got house privileges and now enjoys fat naps in front of the fire and fancy wet food after his long day guarding the flock. Hes doing great actually.
the best thing a character can be is passively suicidal and the second best thing a character can be is actively suicidal
I think one of the reasons Elliot and Sophie have such an interesting dynamic to me is the dichotomy between Elliot, who has always used his name and has it connected to everything he’s ever done and all the people he’s ever known, and Sophie, whose real name and story is a mystery and who lives full lives in her mind for every one of her grifts
and something about how sophie’s arc is about embracing her sense of self while still living her grifts, while eliot’s is about letting himself be a person outside of just what he’s known for and what he’s done
so fucking humbling to be like “no I like that character a normal amount” and then you can literally feel your heart rate spike at a mention of them like a dog that just heard the word “treat”
i feel like i have to start barking and howling like a dog. because of the Character
yknow. at least there’s hot older men to unabashedly sexualize
