2022 Reflections: 2022 was a most challenging year - life lessons in loss and rejection- but with that came a deeper understanding of passion, drive and perseverance- especially after taking the next steps towards my goals and dreams with my promotion to Technical Expert - the meaning of family, the birth of new life and understanding that families can be reshaped. It was a year of constantly redefining expectations, not only for myself and the people I choose to surround myself with. The hardest truth has been that I get to live another day in a world without my grandfather… The most important lesson was ultimately about choosing myself - in a world where being yourself is almost an act of rebellion, I promise this - 2023 is the year where I continue to challenge myself and rise above - continuing to dream bigger and where I can hope to soar among the stars. I hope y’all enjoy this series of extraordinary moments that defined my 2022. on August 18, 2017, I started my journey with Apple  and here I am ✨5 YEARS✨ later! My life has never been the same and I’m so thankful every single day. It’s hard to find something you love and are passionate about but I truly enjoy helping people and inspiring them to use our  tech in ways to better support their own lives. It has taken a village, but I want to thank every single person I’ve encountered on this  journey! 3 stores, 2 cities later, I’ve met some of the most extraordinary people; all of whom have shaped my life in so many meaningful ways. I guess the secret’s out now so I can finally say that I’ve been promoted to Technical Expert  at Apple Carnegie Library! To say that after 5 years of working towards this has been a real roller coaster of emotions is a bit of an understatement. I had been rejected for the role so many times over the years, I’ve lost count. But I never gave up on myself, and that’s what truly matters to me. Dream big, there’s no limit to what we can do! Thank you to all those that never stopped believing in me and supported my journey…truly grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. Here’s to breaking more barriers, overcoming any and all obstacles, and celebrating our victories, big or small. I’m so incredibly proud of myself for how far I’ve come not only personally but professionally and can’t wait to see how much more I can truly grow. Cause “good enough” isn’t. Because we find the courage, to try, to fail, and to do it all over again tomorrow. This is dedicated to anyone who ever told me I would never make it. June 24, 2022 - it is with deep and profound sadness that I said goodbye to my grandfather, the sun of my entire universe, when he passed early this morning. In just a matter of hours, I lost the brightest light in my life, the man who has given me the greatest gift of all: his unconditional love. For my beloved grandfather, a most sincere friend: you are my inner strength that delivers in abundance; a wonderful miracle that brought love and laughter for all my life. I received a lot life lessons from my grandfather; with you, I learned the love and respect for life and to appreciate and reward the affection of those around me. You were a brave, genuine man, with a grand personality and loving without measure. I don't know how to thank you for that. I will miss the days when you would tell me a story…you always taught me how to be happy, how to keep dreaming and how to keep fighting. Nobody will be able to match the goodness and wisdom of my grandfather or, at least, the memory of these virtues and the example that you gave me. I have had the great honor and privilege to have you as a friend, a father and a model to follow; one that I could never replace. My only wish is that you could see the tremendous impact you've had in my life and the extraordinary example that you have shown me. The insignificant small acts of love have been as many happy memories and moments that are going to be your legacy. The strong hands that carried me when I was a baby were the fragile hands that console me when I am weak. Because through all his wisdom and all its years, he was still the same man who has given me his unconditional love and with that same love took me through my life.
