I wrote this song a few years back, but shortly after my family and I were thrown into crisis mode with my daughter's fragile health, I revisited it. It took on a whole new meaning and became a necessary lament, comforting us through a tough season. Laments are like friends that don't sugar coat the truth. They take the weight of the matter seriously and sit with you in it. I hope you enjoy the song and lyric video for 'Simple Days'.
