Demetria watched him with a calculating gaze. “Anyone who stands closer than one hundred feet of me, bothers me.” She said simply.
"Fair enough." Nathan shrugged, taking a few strides back. He didn't think he'd been standing quite close enough to be bothersome, but he saw no need to point that out.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want?"
Nathan looked towards the girl, and cleared his throat before introducing himself. "I'm Nathan Wallace." he told her, "I don't want anything, actually. Am I bothering you?"

"Fine," Nathan replied through a mumble, keeping his head down, "the usual. Your Father wanted to see me, I'm just waiting for his office to clear before he calls me in." the Repo Man told him.

"That’s a goddamn shame," said Amber.
A pout tugged at her lips. Pity wasn’t a natural emotion for the heiress, but she couldn’t imagine an existence sadder than that of Daddy’s favorite RepoMan. Mister Never-Had-a-Day-of-Fun-in-His-Whole-Life. Amber considered reaching out for him - in part as a show of solidarity or some shit and in part because he’d felt so nice under her palms moments ago. Instead, she fluttered a hand through her own hair.
"If you ever wanna fix that, look me up, Mister Wallace," she said. "I hear I’m the queen of good times."
He cleared his throat nervously, unsure what to say. "Indeed." he replied with, having no other response.
He watched the woman primp her hair, sighing once more. He always tried hard to avoid conversing and God forbid being alone with any single Largo at a time, unless it was strictly for business, but no matter how much of an effory he made not to, he always seemed to get caught by one of them in between shifts. If Luigi wasn't threatening him, Pavi was flirting with him, and now Miss Sweet here had thrown in her pennyworth, too.
"Yes, well, I don't see that happening..." he muttered, moving towards the door in a hopeful attempt to make an exit. "I'm sure you are." he turned away from her, rolling his eyes out of her view.

She stood firm to what she said, she seemed to just give off confidence and authority, not like most of the people that walked on the streets par a few exceptions. Though the strength of a person, she knew, was never judged by authorative manners but knowing when it was best to back away and know when to stop.
"Though if you stand firm, I won’t go further. But what I’ve learned in all my years is a good confidant is one who doesn’t know your past to judge" For who would she dare be to do so, being a demon from Hell trapped in a reformed body of her former self.
"Yes, it is," he nodded - her statement was most undeniably true - "but most strangers also hold back from sharing personal information." he responded through gritted teeth. He wasn't all that comfortable with talking about himself at the best of times, let alone with a girl he'd just met at a bar. In fact, he wasn't so fond of talking in general. He was a reserved and quiet man.
He appreciated her ceasing to persist, though kept his rather unwilling to budge expression. "And what I've learned in life is to keep to yourself and to only tell of such private information as you are requesting when absolutely necessary." he cleared his throat, "Now, if there's nothing I can assist you with, then..."

"Should see what happens to them after though. The imagination of some and the reality they face is quite an.. interest you could say." She was almost challenging him at this point.
"GeneCo are nothing but a name for murder. I take it you work there yourself?" Genevieve could almost recognise the way he carried himself to the way the repoman did. Though what she saw when she spied through the mirror in hell and the reality of what she was currently facing was quite the contrast.
She took a sip of her drink again and looked at him. “Why the hostility too? You talk through anguish you know, as though you are riddled with guilt. Mind my pardons of course sir, just I know a man burdened when I see one"
He gritted his teeth hard at her question, pausing for a short moment. "...I'm a Doctor." he lied blatantly. He'd given up that job many years ago, the only thing he was now was a Repo Man - an assassin - a murderer.
His frown deepened at her accusations. He wasn't inclined to go in to details about his job, nor talk openly with this unfamiliar stranger. He preferred to keep his feelings to himself, out of public knowledge.
He shook his head, "I've nothing to hide, nor am I guilty.". Another lie.
"You're being rather quick to assume. Might I remind you, we've only just met."
"Solitude is for those with something to hide" She looked up at him pausing to see his reaction then in a subdued tone she looked down saying. “I am certainly one to talk."
"Why do they have these reposessions? I really genuinely know nothing but the day after, and the fact my.. my partner has the fine job of putting them to rest" She suddenly fell silent. Shit she thought, Gravedigger would have been sending the souls to heaven and hell and, well with all this mess and dead. No wonder they hung about in this age.
She looked over at the bar, it was soon time for work but considering the emptiness of the place, she wouldn’t be missed if she hung about.
He glanced up at her sharply, shooting her a look. He almost confronted her about that statement, but figured he'd only seem defensive if he did - which he was.
"Well, GeneCo has to make its money back somehow, if people aren't paying, I suppose." he responded through a quiet mumble. He exhaled shakily, "Though, it is a rather nasty compromise. Has the city in terror."
"Does he? Hm...interesting." he replied.
Amber drew her hand in close to her chest and cradled it.
"All work and no play makes Nathan a dull boy," she murmured. "Do you ever just... Have fun, mister Wallace?"
He sighed once more, looking at her rather wearily. "Honestly, no, I don't." he admitted. He couldn't remember the last time he'd laughed - properly laughed, wholeheartedly and genuinely.
Ever since Marni had passed, his whole life had changed. He wasn't always the same serious and low-spirited man he was today.
"Genevieve" She slid down opposite him, studying him almost. “Why come to a bar alone? Those who normally come here are waiting for that reposession crap to come along and happen. Never did get it myself" Her british accent was more then a little out of the ordinary from the lonesome bar staff and drinkers.
He mostly stared down at the table, subconsciously sloshing the beer in his cup around as he attempted to avoid deep conversation.
"I like my solitude." he replied in response to her question, and sighed to himself before running a hand through his hair. "Yes...that 'repossession crap' is quite something..." he muttered, his words barely audible.
He'd learned not to share his job identity with random strangers unless he wanted to be lynched.
This is by far and easily my favorite song from Repo.

"What he doesn’t know won’t kill him," she murmured. “You won’t tell him, Mister Wallace."
Because if you tell him I kissed you, she thought, I’ll say you kissed me first. And if he thinks you touched me, he’ll kill you.

Truth was, Amber was just tactile as fuck on the Zydrate. She wasn’t quite horny. She just wanted to touch something; be touched. Sensation thrilled her as it seeped back into her nervous system. She walked her fingers against Nathan’s shoulder almost playfully. His shirt was silky smooth and that felt nice. It made her smile.
He realised that that sounded more like a command than anything else, and being in the position he was, he would be stupid to go against what she said; what one of the Largo's said.
"I won't tell him." he confirmed hesitantly, "I just don't think any of this is a good idea."
He sighed heavily as Amber trailed her hand across his shoulder, attempting not to let his annoyance get the better of him. "No. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop touching me like that." he stated, his tone relatively snappy towards the end of his sentence as he swatted away her hand from his shoulder a little more firmly than last time.

"I wasn't referring to your physical appearance - rather your mental state." he replied, having realised Amber had taken his words differently. "What I meant to say is...well, you're clearly under some influence."
"Look, Miss Sweet, I've nothing against you," he falsely assured, having more than a slight disliking for most of the Largo's, "I've simply no interest in any affairs at this point..."
Nathan glanced her over, "Nor do I feel as though your Father would approve of this."
