Can I have some headcanons/scenarios with Natsume being ill and afraid to tell his parents/friends that he's sick?

Headcanons for a sick Natsume who’s too afraid to tell that he’s sick:

Whilst running from an ayakashi after school, Natsume had dropped his umbrella in a rush. Due to running in the rain, Natsume had gotten down with a nasty cold.

When Natsume first got home, Touko had coincidentally been out shopping, and Shigeru had been at work. Otherwise, the couple would’ve undoubtedly been worried when Natsume’s soaked figure appeared at the door. 

As soon as he was through the door, Natsume hurriedly dried himself off and taken a warm bath as to prevent getting sick. He greatly disliked having others worry about him, and wasn’t too fond of placing a seeming burden on them. Getting sick would do just that.  

Now that he was sick, Natsume tried his best to keep it to himself. If anyone found out, they definitely did not hear it from him.

Of course, Natsume is a poor liar, and the facade lasts at most a day. Touko would be the most worried, as she would busy herself with preparing light meals and herbs for Natsume. Shigeru, after hearing that Takashi was sick, would drop by a local pharmacy on his way home from work to pick up medication.

Hello :) could I request for a headcanon or scenario where Shigeru taught Natsume how to shave? This may sound strange but remember that episode Natsume first met Taki and Natsume loses his ability to see youkai temporarily, then Natsume saw Chobi in the mirror and got startled that he yelled out Chobi's name and then Touko heard him? I imagined Touko might have misunderstood and thought Natsume has grown moustache or something XD sorry if this is too strange for you and thanks for this blog!

“Mustache?” Touko thought, startled as she heard Natsume yell the said word from the second floor bathroom. She continued making her food in slight concern. Perhaps Natsume had started to grow a mustache? He seemed of around the right age to start growing facial hair. Maybe he didn’t know how to groom it? These thoughts flooded Touko’s mind as she finished making the breakfast. She wiped her hands on the towel before heading off to Shigeru’s room.

“Shigeru-san?” she said, softly, waiting by the door. “Good morning, Touko-san,” he replied, sliding open the door and stepping out of his room. “What’s the matter?” he asked, looking at Touko curiously.

“Oh, no, it’s nothing big. You see, I heard Natsume-kun yell ‘mustache’ earlier. He’s around that age, so, maybe, do you think, he’s started to grow one? He might not know how to groom himself, and he might need some help?” She said, concerned, looking at Shigeru.

He nodded in understanding, humming, “There’s still some time before school starts, so I’ll help him out right now, just, let me get my things.” With that, he headed towards his bathroom, a slight yawn escaping his mouth.

Shigeru headed up the stairs, to see Natsume brushing his teethe through the open bathroom door. “Natsume-kun?” he questioned, “Touko-san heard you say something about a mustache, so we were wondering if you needed some, er, help shaving?”

Natsume flushed red, unsure of what to say. Quickly spitting out the tooth paste and rinsing his mouth, he thought that couldn’t tell Shigeru he had seen an ayakashi nicknamed ‘mustache’ through the mirror. At a loss of words, he had managed to stutter a ‘yes, please’ before bowing in thanks and respect. It was a skill he’d would need eventually, right?

Shigeru set down his equipment near the sink, and began with his ‘lesson.’ “So, Takashi-kun, you would usually start with cleaning your face, around the area you’d want to shave,” he explained, grabbing a towel. Natsume watched, in awe, thankful that Shigeru was willing to teach him, before grabbing a towel and imitating Shigeru’s movements.

For the delayed post, I sincerely apologize, my wifi has been down for the past 2 weeks and exam season is right around the corner;; I hope to return posting regulary— well as regularly as I do— soon. Thank you all so much.

Can I have a scenario with Natsume and the boy who was his adoptive brother before he got taken in by the Fujiwaras? Just the two of them catching up and the boy noticing how different Natsume has become? In a good way, of course.

Scenario with Natsume and the boy who was his adoptive brother:

     “Is that you, Takashi?”

     Natsume whipped his head around, surprised that someone had called out to him on his way home from school, a listless Nyanko-Sensei hugged close to his waist. He turned to see his adoptive brother before the Fujiwaras had taken him in.

     “Yup, it’s you, Takashi,” he exclaimed, walking over to the said boy. “How have you been doing these days? Have the Fujiwaras been treating you well?” He questioned, curiously, walking with Natsume. He was always a well mannered boy, showing Natsume kindness even when he lived with them.

     “Oh yes, they’re very kind to me. Thank you and your family for taking care of me, I’m aware I was quite a handful then, sorry.” Natsume responded, not expecting to see him here of all places.

     “Ehh,” the brother hummed before quickly suggesting, “that’s good then, would you like a cup of tea? I know a good tea house nearby where we can catch up.”

     Natsume sat awkwardly staring at the elder boy across from him, waiting for him to break the slience. It wasn’t as if he didn’t like the said boy, just that he didn’t know what to talk about nor what to ask.

     Pouring a cup of tea for Nyanko-Sensei and Natsume, the boy began to speak, “So, youve got a pet now, Takashi? What is it? A a cat?”

     “Yes, he’s a cat, he’s named Nyanko-sensei.” Natsume answered, petting the fat cat’s head softly.

     “Its adorable, but…” His brother’s face suddenly became serious, before adding, “To be completely honest, Takashi, I’ve been looking for you actually. I understand that my family wasn’t the best, and I’m sorry for that, but I wanted to see with my own eyes how the Fujiwaras are, and if they’ve been treating you as family.”

     Natsume’s eyes widened a fraction due to surprise, he was not expecting that, although his brother has always had a kind persona. Nyanko-sensei side glanced Natsume. He paused shortly before replying, “I apologize for the trouble I’ve caused to your family, and I want to thank you and your family for taking me in. I’m thankful that you decided to look for me and care about how the Fujiwaras treat me, its very kind of you. As I said before, they’re treating me as if I were their own son, so I hope that answers your question. Thank you worrying.”

     The brother smiled at this, fingers tracing the rim of his own tea cup, “That’s good then,” he said as he watched Natsume drink his tea, “You know, Takashi, you’ve changed quite a bit since I’ve last seen you.”

     “Changed?” Natsume asked, confused at this statement.

     “Yeah, changed, not in bad way, it’s just that, when you stayed with us, you we’re much more quiet, and you didn’t really tell us how you were feeling. However, now, you’re much more vocal about everything and can express yourself better. You seem happier here too.” He answered, pausing to take a sip, then adding, “I guess they really do treat you well, huh.”

Headcanons for Natori who finds/meets his S/O + hanahaki disease AU:

I added the hanahaki disease part as I thought it would be nice, however, if it was not to your liking, please say so and I’ll gladly write you another set! <3 I’m so sorry for deleting your ask;; It was an accident;;

The first time Natori had seen her, it was just simple attraction, nothing more, nothing less. she was a co-star for a drama he was currently starring in, and a talented one at that.

She was simply stunning. Her eyes were breathtaking, her lips looked unbelievably soft, her cheeks almost always a rosy hue. As Natori acquainted himself with her, he had figured out that she had the warmest personality. He couldn’t help but fall for her.

Natori had invited her for some coffee outside of work on multiple occasions, and she agreed, much to his happiness. However, he hadn’t known that she thought this was a friendly gesture from her co-star.

That’s why it had hit Natori so hard when he had seen her smiling and laughing so brightly with another man, who he assumed was her boyfriend.

At first, he had thought nothing of it, yes of course, it had left his heart aching for her, but he thought there was nothing he could do about it.

Then, it all started. One day, after filming, he had coughed up a couple of rose petals. He was absolutely clueless as to why this was occurring, however, after some research, he found out it was hanahaki disease, the disease of unrequited love.

- The more he saw her, the worst it became, both the disease and the ache in his heart. In the beginning, it was only one or two petals, but it gradually became half a dozen, and soon, he was hacking up whole roses, suffocating on the beautiful flowers.

Natori had reluctantly called in sick multiple of times due to his sickness, but he felt as he couldn’t do it and trouble the whole filming crew anymore.

That’s why he was now on the floor, hacking out whole flowers while S/O rubbing his back in an attempt to soothe the coughs and his ragged breathing. 

Unknown to him, S/O had known of hanahaki, and it had pained her to see him like this.That night, S/O found herself on her bathroom floor, coughing up two flower petals, identical to the petals on Natori’s flowers.

May I request for some hcs for Natori if someone were to say that he and Natsume really look like a pair of brothers, please?

Headcanons for Natori if someone said that he and Natsume looked like a pair of brothers: 

At first, Natori is surprised, checking between him and Natsume for similarities in their appearances. His eyes fly to his and Natsume’s matching blonde hair.

“Is that so? Haha, we look alike don’t we, Natsume-kun?”

He smiles when he’s told this, due to the fact that Natori basically sees Natsume as a little brother, wanting to protect him whenever he can. Natori once stated that he doesn’t want Natsume and himself to lie to each other, as he wanted to be close with Natsume. This is because Natori believes they could possibly be able to talk to each other freely, be it about youkai or not, whilst understanding each other.

Natori would crack a joke about it, something along the lines of, “Aren’t you glad to look like an someone like me?” Then chuckling at his own joke. Natsume would most likely deadpan or glare at the adult male, but knows that Natori means well.

Trust Natori to bring it up every time he sees Natsume, occasionally calling him “little brother” or something along the lines of that. At first, Natsume didn’t particularly enjoy it, however as a bit of time passed, it had grown on Natsume. 

When Natori decided to drop the old joke, Natsume would never admit it aloud, but he had felt a small twinge of disappointment at the sudden change. 

Oh my, this is incredibly late… I’m not sure if I was able to capture Natori as a character, but I truly hope he isn’t too OOC. I feel bad that this is really short, but I’m unsure of what I can add;; Of course, if you have any helpful feedback, please do not hesitate to send it in, as my inbox is always open. Are you an active blog?

I realize I’ve been incredibly inactive lately, and I’m extremely sorry. I’ve gotten a lot of Natori requests, and I’m trying my best to depict him in the best way I can. However, yes I am an active blog, and Ill try to return to more frequent posting. I’m trying to post every Monday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday although I’m not doing a very good job at it;;

May I request a scenario where Touko teaches Natsume how to cook? As it turns out, he's not good at it but Touko is very patient and gently guides him. Natsume was very nervous about ruining the food, but he ends up having fun.

Firstly, I am so sorry about the delay and the long time it took for me to write this scenario, as I realize it should not take me this long;; Secondly, do not follow this recipe, as it is definitely not how you make curry. Lastly, please enjoy, and do not hesitate to submit constructive criticism and/or a request of your own! ^^

Touko teaching Natsume how to cook ( ๑╹ω╹๑ ):

“Am i doing this correctly?” Natsume asked Touko as he focused on his two hands, his dominant one on the sharp vegetable knife, while the other gripped the poor carrot tightly. He slowly diced the carrot, careful to not make a mistake, especially careful to not cut his hand. Despite being the one who suggested it, he hadn’t realized cooking was such a fine art.

“Yes, yes, that’s it, Takashi.” Touko reassured, as she watched him whilst stirring a pot full of soon to be made curry, a small smile never leaving her face. “After the carrots, there’s the potatoes to peel too.” she kindly added. She was delighted that Takashi has taken an interest in cooking, deciding to help out in the kitchen, despite his inexperience. Seeing as Takashi was almost done with the carrots, she told him to add them to the pot, handing a few potatoes for him in the process.

The smell of beef filled the room as the meal cooked. Takashi’s hands held the knife which unskillfully peeled the potatoes skin. Seeing his struggle, Touka held Takashi’s hands in her own and gently showed him how to peel the potato. Natsume tensed slightly at the contact, blushing slightly, however, relaxed as he focus on the starchy vegetable in hand. Taking in all the information, he began to peel the potato on his own as Touko left to prepare the mushrooms.

Natsume’s nervousness began to leave him as he peeled the third potato with much more ease. Finding the cooking suddenly rather less difficult with Touko’s guidance, he took a deep breath and enjoyed the aromas that filled his senses. He had wanted to help Touko make a meal and he planned on seeing it through. After slicing the potatoes into squares, he added them to the pot.

“I did it, Touko-san!” he exclaimed with triumph as he watched the curry start cooking.

“Yes, yes, good work, Takashi.” Touko responded, smiling as she stirred the ladle. She was overjoyed with the bright smile that decorated Natsumes face whilst cleaning the rice. The enjoyment that Natsume felt was absolutely breathtaking.

How about some headcanons or a scenario for platonic Natsume and Sasada? Just the two of them spending some time together without bringing up youkai?

Platonic Natsume and Sasada headcanons:

Sasada and Natsume didn’t exactly start off on the right foot. It wasn’t as if Natsume dislike Sasada, in fact it was nothing of the sort. Natsume was just new to the town when they had first met, and his timid self wasn’t quite used to the extra company just yet.

Sasada had noticed Takashi when he first moved into town, quickly noticing him and his quirky and unique behaviors. She swiftly became friendly with him.

Sasada, naturally, wanted to talk to Natsume more. She found the silliest or most obscure topics to bring up conversations with Natsume. Initially, this was due to Natsume’s reserved self, but as time moved on, he became much more open to Sasada.

After opening up, occasionally, Natsume would go to Sasada for a nice occasional chat, especially liking her bright and positive nature.

Once, Sasada had recommended a nice bakery, where Natsume found the cakes, along with other pastries quite delicious.

Natsume would occasionally go to Sasada if he was running behind in his studies, and she’d be more than happy to tutor him or be his study partner. Since Natsume was typically tired after returning names to the ayakashi in the middle of the night, he’s often seen sleeping in class. This causes him to ask Sasada for notes or help on the homework. However, he tries to keep this on the minimum, as he feels sorry, having to ask so frequently.

Being familiar with Natsume for a while, Sasada would soon take the hint to not mention ayakashi as often. She noted this, seeing as Natsume didn’t like to discuss this topic, especially if they were hanging out with a big group.

Can I request hcs about Natsume finding a box full of kittens & being very overprotective of them and his friends reactions to this? (Like Natsume won't let the kittens be adopted/touched just by anyone, unless he's 100% sure the kittens will be safe?He'd do anything to keep the kittens away from potential danger.) Also good luck with your blog! ♥

Headcanons of Natsume with a box of new kittens he just found:

Natsume stumbled upon a stray cardboard box in the woods whilst running away from an ayakashi. It had almost slipped by unnoticed if it weren’t for the purrs he had heard from it. He opened it to see a few abandoned kittens in it. And thus, on a whim, he decided to keep the box of kittens.

He felt as if he would be asking too much if he brought them back to Touko and Shigeru, as he didn’t want to trouble them. However, he also could not find himself leaving defenseless kittens in the wild either. After some thought, Natsume would ultimately ask if he can keep them.

Touko and Shigeru would be glad, but they suggest if Natsume could find some friends or people who would be interested in adopting them.

After receiving permission to care for them, he would be take extreme caution, reading up on how to properly care for them, personally going out to buy everything that may be needed for them.

Even after a while, Madara would even warm up to them, occasionally feeding them scraps of food. Sometimes, the careless bodyguard can even be seen cuddling with the small fluff balls.

Natsume and Madara would find names for each of them, despite both of their lack in naming skills. Things like ‘Fluffy’ for an especially fluffy one, or ‘Golden’ for the ginger furred one.

Nishimura and Kitamoto would noticed Natsume suddenly leaving his classes as soon as the bell rang, and they’d ask what’s been up. When they find out Natsume has kittens, they’d most likely want to see them. Tanuma and Taki, along with Sasada would find out eventually. They too, intend on visiting the kittens.

Natsume reluctantly agrees, not before lecturing them on the proper ways to pet/hold them and the right treats and food to feed them. He may be wary of Taki due to her tight grips on ‘cute things’ but eventually lets loose after a lot of convincing from the said girl. Its not as if he doesn’t trust his friends, he is just worried for the kittens’ well-being.

If Natsume finds someone who intends on adopting them, he wouldn’t exactly be too happy about it. He’d try anything within his power to see if they would be good owners for the kittens. If they seemed slightly off, he’d decline immediately. If they appear to be alright, of course, he’d be happy for the cats, but he’s also sad to see them go. Although soon he’d realize that it’s the best for the cats, and say his goodbyes.

Greetings & A Few Words

Hello, I’m a new Natsume Yuujinchou imagines blog! (ㆁᴗㆁ✿)

I’ve noticed there are very few of these, and decided, oh well, maybe it’d be a great idea to make a NatsuYuu imagines blog for any that may want, well, NatsuYuu imagines. ٩(●ᴗ●)۶ Or maybe no one wants NatsuYuu imagines and I’m the weird one that thinks of these things. (ーー;)

Anyway, please request any headcanon/scenario/imagine for any NatsuYuu character(s), and I’d be more than happy to write them out! You can also request a character x character. Dont hold back! Detailed request ideas are always nice to write too! I’ve decided to hold back on the rules and regulations until maybe the blog grows a bit? If it grows at all. （◞‸◟）
