"A frog?" Harker murmured, raising a brow as he set his oar down into the canoe. He observed the little frog for a moment, sensing something... off but not threatening about it. His lips curled into a little smile as he gently cupped the frog into his hands quickly, whilst his dog chewed on a thick rope toy at the other end of the long canoe. "Careful, don't let Brooke see you. She forgets how hard she bites when she's excited." (Tobi in Frog Shape for @harkerofthegrasselves )
It was rare he had the time to play around like other Druids his age, while they were learning to listen to trees and heed the words of Beasts, Tobi had been slaying Liches and whatnot.
Now he had some free time he'd returned to an old pass time of his. Wild Shaping into a simple frog and watching the simple things.
Simple things right now consisted of hitching a ride on a canoe and admiring the handsome stranger.
Ribbiting and croaking he reminded 'in character' while being held and handled, waiting a moment before hopping back to the front of the canoe. He wasn't eager to be caught acting un-froglike and found out. Not yet at least.

It was a favourite memory of Bob's, a time where he and his old herd managed to steal some human food. He enjoyed those noodles a lot.
He honked happily, glad to share this memory with the green human. He withdrew his psychic abilities, content with using that memory he showed to let Tobi know that there were others like him.

A strange creature with psychic ability was easy enough to understand, but the concept of them orchestrating and planning simply to steal noodles was perplexing. If they had psychic ability it was just as well this one seemed incapable of malice.
Sitting himself on the ground, Tobi placed the creature in his lap "We're just a bunch of weirdos far from home.. We'll, two of us are, I could send you home, possibly."
Bob was quite content to stay where he was, he let out little honks as he squirmed around on Tobi's lap to get comfortable. He found a comfortable position by laying on his back with his tail curled around the orc's thigh, the perfect position to get head and belly rubs.
Nah, he was happy with his trainer. She gave good cuddles, liked to play and gave him food. Couldn't get much better than that.
Bob gave a derpy little honk whilst his soft snout nudged Tobi's hand, prompting him to give him pets and belly rubs.

What a simple creature, enough psychic ability to share memories, yet all it craved was food and companionship. However the creature came to this plane its choice to remain with Viola was clear.
One hand moved to give the thing soft belly rubs while the other hovered above his head. Slowly the skin on his palm pushed outward and split open, a small vine worming its way out of his flesh "I can't say I'm surprised you're drawn to her. It's in her blood to bond with beasts." the vine curled as small buds began to sprout "As my blood flows with the vines of nature itself."
Bob let out happy little honks as Tobi rubbed his belly, his eyes drifting closed as he enjoyed the gentle rubs. His fur was short and slightly oily, like an otter, but very soft and he was warm.
Did his trainer's family train the creatures in this land? That would explain why she had Fluffy with her, the strange Houndoom was very cranky with everyone but her.
Bob opened his eyes as the smell of fresh plants and he watched as Tobi's palm split open and a vine emerged from it, appearing to be staring vacantly. So this one is a grass type? Maybe that was why he was green. It was strange seeing something look so much like a human be a grass type.
The slowpoke lifted his snout to sniff and gently nibble on the growing vine, hoping some berries or fruits would grow from it so he could have a snack.

The more he watched the creature the more Tobi grew curious about it's home Plane, perhaps he'd have to visit it sometime and study the fascinating creatures within it.
From what Viola had told him the pink thing was just as dangerous as it was endearing, shooting water from its mouth with enough force to kill a man. He believed her, of course.
The vine growing from his palm leaked nectar when Bob nibbled at it, the small flowers slowly grew into berries and plopped off one by one "I've been made redundant, it seems." He sighed wistfully "Viola has two very brave and very fierce companions to protect her. Seems she has little need for me."

What on earth had he gotten himself into now? All he'd done was wave and greet a few Elves and the next thing he knew, they were charging at him with swords!
Having fled instead of fighting he gained enough of a distance to dive behind bushes and change into something a bit less murderable.
For the next few hours the place looked to be in chaos. The locals fearing an Orc lurked in the shadows, guards and soldiers with weapons drawn searching for the intruder.
Amidst it all, an orange tabby sat perched on a railing, ears twitching at every sound, giant eyes turning to peer up at every patrol that passed. With such high security, he'd essentially trapped himself down here.

Sitting at the side of the table Mr Tubs flicked his tail back and forth as he stared at the parchment, a few words were familiar. A script of Elf language he'd seen on another Plain, perhaps some in this world were capable of such travel.
It's head turned to look at the new bed. It was better than anything Tobi got on his adventures, anything indoors that wasn't a dungeon was a step up. Meowing loudly again he turned back to the parchment and continued his loud yelling.
Elrond reached out and gently petted the cat. “Why are you making such a fuss about nothing?” He asked the cat.
Elrond wondered where the little fellow came from and hoped that a family wasn’t missing him or that he was abandoned. Tubbs would get along great in Imladris.
His yelling was him just reading aloud to himself. It'd always helped when reading a script he couldn't fully understand.
Quieting down as the pets began Mr Tubbs purred softly, as much as he wanted to gather knowledge he had to act as much like a cat as he could. Flopping onto his side Mr Tubbs chattered and pawed at the papers
He'd yet to encounter his kind of this world, though Orcs were a species that tended to evolve cross-Plane, like Humans, Elves, and Dwarves, they were never kind to outsiders
"Think Necromancer, but with delusions of potential godhood. Never come across one that didn't have that aspiration." His voice was soft, he wasn't scared of this wolf, or his distant kin of this world. What threat could they pose to him now?
But, her concerns were very real, for all she knew he was here with evil intent, an enemy spy perhaps. And he couldn't fault her for wanting to keep her home safe "I'm not familiar with my kin of this world, nor do I wish to be." The cat sighed bluntly "If any nearby are a bother to you I can dispose if them, if you wish."
She made a thoughtful noise at that. "Do those who disturb the sleep of the dead ever not consider themselves gods in some capacity already?" From Tobi's description, she simply couldn't see what differentiated the two.
Rossiel stretched, then settled into a relaxed loafing position. "While I would not advise casual travel through the Redhorn Pass, the yrch there make crossing the mountains to reach our woodland kin impossible when winter snows block the safer High Pass. Should you happen upon any bands of them that elude our scouts, dispatching them would be doing us a great favor."
If he felt the need to exercise his powers he'd be sure to remember that. Were the orcs of this world so similar to his own? If they had half a brain like the ones back home they'd charge a toll for safe crossing and get rich from it.
"I might take you up on that, perhaps do a little more than a massacre too." The cats eyes widened as ideas swarmed in his tiny head, perhaps there was some good to be done here after all.
He'd need a bit more information on the world and which of the lesser-liked races were the most business savvy "Once I've had a decent rest perhaps I'll take a fly over this Redhorn Pass, if you'd be so kind as to direct me."

Starter for @natures-lost-warden | Moryo and Tobi
Moryo's cane lightly tapped the ground as they walked at a sedate place, content to find and greet all the cats in the courtyard. However, there was a furry face they didn't recognise amongst the many cats they'd adopted over the years.
"Hello little one," the Feanorian greeted the new feline, a small smile spreading across their lips as they offer the cat their hand to sniff. "Did one of mine bring you here?"
Cloud watched intently, mesmerized by the demonstration of magic. She observed the movements of the magic hand with a quiet reverence, and she purred loudly as the door was opened.
"You'll like the breakfast, Change... Marmalade," the cat corrected herself, making sure to use her friend's new name. She rubbed her cheek against his briefly before trotting forward into the pantry, her eyes on the third shelf. "This one has the kibbles, and the dried fish in the boxes."
The boxes in question were wooden, and the pantry was very cool, great for food preservation. The scent of many different foods lingered in the cold air, a hypnotizing concoction for a hungry cat. Cloud's pupils were blown wide in excitement.
"Kippers, want kippers," she chittered. "I can smell them Marmalade, they smell good."

The mage hand was already lifting lids and poking around inside them, helping Marmalade find what was where and how full each box was. Following Cloud he opened the kibble box next and sniffed the air.
So many delicious scents, if he wasn't a cat he could make a wonderful meal out of some of these things. Maybe with a few more Mage Hands at his disposal he could.
Another ghostly hand split from the first one and followed Marmalades mental instructions to the kipper box, freshly dried kippers for a little treat. Retrieving about three kippers he set them in front of Cloud.
"Do we have bowls or should I just start throwing handfuls out into the hallway?"

"Only a little hurt now, Potato, but I'll be all better soon." He'd be less hurt if those ungrateful Elves hadn't attacked him, if he'd been a bit less alert he'd have been run through with a sword.
Nuzzling at the worried cat Marmalade licked back, reassuring that he was doing fine "Getting hurt doesn't hurt as much as it used to, so don't worry over my few boo-boos." The cats probably didn't understand what he meant but maybe in time they would.
Following Cloud he carefully made his way past the other cats and down the platform. Moryo could sleep in without worry for feeding his growing army of felines, Marmalade would take care of them.
He wondered how things would be if he decided to stay a while after he fully healed, if Marmalade stuck around for a bit and enjoyed a bit of feline pampering.. No doubt the cats would appreciate him more than bipedal folk did.
"Maybe Change-Cat Marmalade should stay a while, and half-orc Hero Tobi should disappear." He chattered quietly to himself as he trailed behind " Change-Cat can help with food and pheasant so elf-friend can rest."
Socks and the old tom cat stayed with Potato so they could help him down the ramp and follow at a more sedate pace.
"You will like it here, Change Cat," Cloud confirmed, her ears perking up in excitement at the thought of her new friend staying here with her clan and her Elf. "Red-Dark-Elf-Friend gives us very nice food and he gives lots of pets when his leg doesn't hurt."
The fluffy white cat led Marmalade to the pantry, where the door was closed with a latch. Cloud could reach the handle to open the door but not the latch, there was plenty of dried food and smoked fish to feed the many cats in there.
"Red-Dark-Elf-Friend keeps our food in here, lots of fish and dried stuff," she informed him, her fluffy tail curled around her feet as she sat beside the door. "Can your magic open doors?"

If he liked it, he'd stay. To hell with the Planes and worlds that were ungrateful for his sacrifices. From goblins to Fey, the whole fuckin lot of them could go to the Hells.
These cats and the kind Red-Dark-Elf-Friend showed kindness where others had shown hostility. Lich Slayer Tobi would protect them, and change-cat Marmalade would be their friend.
Looking up at the door he laughed at the latch "That thing isn't keeping out anything with Magic or thumbs." Sitting down in front of the door he flicked his tail.
His large, golden eyes turned to saucers as he used a simple little spell. A spectral hand appeared above them, almost entirely transparent with a hint of blue, with a single thought the hand quietly lifted the latch and pulled down the handle, pulling the door open with a soft creak.
This could probably be a fun game of seeing what they'd do to keep cats out "Huh, not even a lock. Well, I guess breakfast is served."
