Iota sits with her knees curled up to her chest on the lounge’s plush window-seat, quietly studying a worn book she holds in her hands. She had figured out that this particular spot in the Lodge made for good reading, as it allowed her to get the little sun that shone though the thick mountain clouds. Though that certainly wasn’t the case today - a strong blizzard raged outside, completely blotting out the sun. Regardless, she sits in her usual place, accompanied by a plush blanket she has wrapped around her shoulders. Every so often, she looks up from the pages and out to the wintry expanse beyond the glass, seemingly transfixed by the snowfall. Eventually, her head slowly turns back to the book, fingers slowly flipping through the pages. An occasional small smile tugs at the corner of her lips, but other than that, her face wears a serene, neutral mask. A sudden gust of wind howls past the window and startles her, the book in her hands clattering to the floor. Quietly, she grumbles to herself, head making a quiet thunk as it connects with the wall. “Honestly, must the storms be constant here...”
She leans over to retrieve the book, only to find that it’s frustratingly out of reach. Determined to get it back without leaving her spot, she leans a little more... and instantly finds herself falling onto the the floor with a ceremonious bang, tangled in her blanket. Silently embarrassed, she lays there mumbling, hoping no one else saw the debacle.
“I suppose today is a blessed one.”
