These two had a relationship that was famously passionate and creative. Jane Birkin is probably the only woman with a handbag (the Birkin Bag) named after her that was only affordable by the very rich. Original Birkin Bags are often  valued at hundreds of thousands of dollars today.

Their daughter, Charlotte Gainsbourg, is infamous for her incestuous relationship with her father Serge and her role in the film Nymphomaniac.
