Demonstration of the Blue Arc technology at GE Aviation's facility in Hooksett, NH. The MTC went on a tour of that facility in 2012.
Corporate video from Hollis Line Machine Company in Hollis, NH. includes interviews with some of the machinists who work there. The MTC toured two of this company's facilities in March, and got to see both the welding/fabrication and machining sides of their business.
Demonstration of multi-axis machining being done at Rapid Machining, Nashua, NH. The MTC visited their facility this past February, just before the company moved into a larger building.
Demonstration of a robotic prosthetic arm Developed by DEKA Research, Manchester NH. (demo starts around 1:50) When the Machine Tool Club visited earlier this month, we got to see a mold for the hand's flexible outer sleeve being machined. DEKA also had an extensive 3-D printing lab.
High-speed milling of dynamic toolpaths programmed with the use of Mastercam. Part of a presentation given in Prof. Howe's class by D. Craig Powers and Neal Demazure from the Millford branch of Datron Dynamics.

Upcoming Club Trip: DEKA R&D, Manchester
Who: NCC Machine Tool Club, or deeply interested and club-eligible students. (Mechanical/Design students in particular, you may want to see this one.)
When: Tuesday, April 2nd
Where: DEKA Research & Development Corp., 340 Commercial Street, Manchester NH 03101
Meet-up is in DEKA's front parking lot, at 12:45 PM. Prof. Howe will meet us there, and we will go in as a group.
How: RSVP with Prof. Howe or Prof. Dodge so they have a good estimate of group size, and if you have trouble finding a ride, let one of them know and we'll try to find you a carpool.

Machine-tool Club meetings are held every other Thursday at 12:00 PM, in room 150 (or the atrium if 150 is in use). Feel free to bring in lunch.
