Marcus is actually through a good chunk of his own homework before he looks up at his friend. It suddenly occurs to him how hard he’d found the classes when he’d gotten here, and even though he’s not sure whether Devin’s having the same problem, he can’t help but offer his help.

He’s been landed with a coke can and a chocolate bar he’s definitely not allowed to have inside camp borders due to the no outside food or drink rule, and he’s not sure what to do with them since he doesn’t want to eat them.

So when he makes eye contact with another camper with outside food clearly in his hands, his expression becomes deadly serious. “Please do not tell anyone in charge.”

okay but.... why can aphrodite kids speak only french??? if the reasoning is it’s “the language of love” aka a romance language, shouldn’t they also be able to speak spanish? italian? isn’t romanian a romance language? why stop at french?

also: most aphrodite kids can change part of their appearance at will. how far does that extend? like, tonks level appearance change? how many can control it?

and both amokinesis and charmspeak are technically forms of mind control, aren’t they? like aphrodite kids can literally manipulate someone’s feelings if they don’t actually have charmspeak. they can radiate love & beauty, aka make someone fall in love with them not of their own free will. does it work the opposite way too?? if they can make someone fall in love, or have feelings of love, and if you asses hate as an absence of love, can they just take it away? how far does this empathy manipulation stretch w/o charmspeak?

PLUS a bunch of minor stuff. permanent makeup. and i think i remember like. small curses that causes bad hair days or your clothes to always be one size too small
