his teeth felt like they were going to fall out, his gums ached as his fangs transformed into regular human teeth, no longer as sharp as they once were. his bones twisted and cracked within him as they lost that superior strength. muscles felt like they were expanding beyond possibility before deflating just as quick. his arms twitched, hands moving to feebly grip at the ground as though that would give sora some reprieve from the agony. but even that weak movement ached his whole body. hot tears fell from soraโs eyes still, giving him some comfort because at least it was some form of liquid against his skin.
abel observed sora with a detached demeanour, eyes cold as a void of darkness. he stepped forward, that noise echoing in the sheer quiet now that sora had stopped screaming some. little whimpers now. abel paid that no mind, felt the weight of a swordโs handle in his left hand. he waited, until sora twitched, and tried to sit up.
then when sora looked up at him, abel moved, and slashed that thick blade across the left side of soraโs face, leaving a jagged yet long scar along the left side of soraโs cheek, angled slightly, starting nearest the edge of soraโs lip before stopping just before soraโs cheekbone.
โthat is a reminder: of this first mistake you have made,โ abel spoke loudly, over that scream that sora was giving, because it was no ordinary cut: that wound was bubbling with a darkened, blackened like ooze, misty purple energy smoking from it,ย โthat scar will never leave you. i do hope you think on these moments, and those to come, whenever that scar catches your eye in a reflection.โ
