“we should introduce ourselves, right?” said the only person with dark hair

after they finished introductions, now is the time to figure out who’s going to do who’s part in both groups

for this, one of your ‘01 liners had to sit out to make things even
That’s also the member who appeared the least in performances due to losing his voice after 3rd day of promotions
Luckily no one was angry, especially when he’s the most popular one out of everyone in your group
Even though he’s the one with the most stamina, so singing while dancing isn’t an issue

you guys decided to do this by age order, because it seems to fit well
after all, you didn’t get many parts in your song
even though your vocal range is large, you were in charge of the lower voices
so you were paired up with jisung, which you only knew from his blue hair

you two kinda just stood there awkwardly while everyone else already interacted with each other

instead of trying to get to know each other, you guys started to talk about your parts in songs
jisung tried your parts first, mainly bc you asked him if he wanted to go first and all he said was “sure.”
you sang the notes for him one by one, making sure he’s getting it
of course it’s harder since is tone is completely different from yours, especially when singing
you kept trying though, as if you’re training him to sing
“ah, i really can’t do this. you should have gotten jeno-hyung instead.” he said softly
“jisung, you gotta keep trying, we’ve only went over it 10 times and you already want to give up.” you say
and boy did you sound like a soft baby, which made him laugh

you continued to try to get hint to do the note, and haven’t made much process
instead, you sing a part and have him repeat it
after trying to train him to lower his voice a bit more to match your voice in the song, the awkward vibe suddenly went away

after hours of staying in their practice room, you had to leave

You watched it all night long, and repeated the video many times until you eventually started getting really tired

First thing in the morning with your group’s usual routine

Soon, you heard footsteps coming closer, which made you confused, since you guys should be the only ones here
Then you see some shadows and some head popping out of the door
“Oh, it’s you guys!” Chenle said, and told them that there are people in this room
Now you see more people entering the practice room
They all bowed as they entered and you just watched while your membered greeted them back

Everyone started laughing and you two just sat there clueless because ‘WHEN WAS THIS?’
You two tried to protest but there’s no going back now

You haven’t had this in awhile. It seems like you didn’t have a dream, or it wasn’t worth remembering. Today is supposed to be one of your relaxing days, until you were called to fill in a worker who got sick. You were lucky enough to bring your dog, because you were supposed to take her to the vet for some reason. Mainly because her doctor wanted to check up on her and see how she’s doing. After that, you had to go straight to work, how fun.
You came in a little late, which is the first time, but you didn’t care. Your dog finally fell asleep in your arms as you were walking in. Her ears twitched when she heard the bell, but stayed in the same position. You sighed in relief, and set her down on the back table where you would normally sit during your break time. As soon as you set her down, she woke up and perked her head up. You froze and your dog jumped into your arms as soon as you moved again.
You couldn’t help but chuckle, then sighed as now she won’t get off of you. Every time you try to put her down, she jumps right back into your arms. Where’s Jaehyun when you ACTUALLY need him? Maybe it’s your lucky day, just when you needed him, he actually showed up, of course with his group of friends. Now you can’t ask him in front of his friends, you’d sound needy, not like you actually cared what other people think of you.
“Having trouble there?” said a familiar voice, and you know exactly who it is.
“Oh shut up, Johnny.” You say as you turned to him with your dog in your arms.
“Oh hey little fella.” He said as he petted your dog, she happily accepted his love.
You let out a sigh, “Out of all days that the manager asked for me to work, it had to be the day I needed to take her to the vet.”
“Vet? I thought she hated going to there?”
“Exactly, that’s why she doesn’t want me to leave.”
“That sucks, why not ask your friend to take care of her? Isn’t he there?” He pointed to Jaehyun.
You shake your head, “Who knows how long he’s going to be here.”
“Y/N, Johnny, you should get to work.” You hear your coworker, Taeil.
Taeil, he’s that guy that prevents you two from getting fired. Without him, you wouldn’t have a job for months. He doesn’t make up excuses, he just makes it seem reasonable. It’s the first time in forever since you worked with him on the same day. Really ever since your schedule change, you never see him once.
“I would love to, but she won’t leave me alone.” You said, as you showed him your dog.
“You can leave her with Doyoung? He’s on his break right now in the back room.”
“She actually doesn’t like him, I don’t even know why.”
Taeil looked around, seeing if anyone’s willing to take care of your dog. Suddenly, your dog jumped out of your arms and ran towards Jaehyun. You sighed as your dog barked to get his attention, wanting to be held by him. He looked at your dog, surprised that she’s even here, but smiled and lifted her up and set her on his lap. He looked around to see if you were here, but you went to get a lint roller to clean up any fur she might have left behind.
When he saw you, you made eye contact with him. You basically gestured to him to please take care of your dog while you were working. Luckily, he agreed. You sighed in relief and went to work.
You took a glance at Jaehyun every once in awhile to check on your dog. You find it cute that he’s taking care of your dog, and you were relieved that she’s behaving. You were doing your job and making everyone’s orders as the day went by. Things were going smoothly, it’s almost unreal.
You hear the same soft voice from earlier, using Jaehyun’s name again, but this time, they ordered tea, which isn’t in your route. You know how to make the teas, you just aren’t comfortable nor confident in making it. You kinda just froze until Taeil noticed your discomfort. He came over and pat your back, “You can go sit down, I’ll make the tea.” He said in the most reassuring voice you ever heard.
You sighed and nodded. You don’t like it when someone has to take over your job, but you’ve been working non-stop, so you deserve a break. You sat down on the same table you were supposed to leave your dog, but that didn’t happen. You got yourself a cup of water and relaxed, not bothering to get a book to read. You rest your head on your hand, in a shape of a fist, and closed your eyes. You removed the surrounding sound and relaxed in silence, ignoring everything.
“Tea shut your brain down, huh?” You hear Johnny.
You opened your eyes and see him with his usual mischievous smirk. “Oh shut up.”
He chuckled, “I don’t blame you, it’s been awhile since someone ordered tea. And you’ve been working for hours straight, you really deserve a break, a vacation even.”
“I appreciate your words, but that just means I’m going to have nothing to do.”
You see Taeil in the corner of your eye, putting his hands on the table and leaning on it. “Our shift is almost over, do you want to hang out somewhere?”
You shoot him a look, “This late?”
Johnny smiled, “Of course, when was the last time we hung out, outside of work?”
Well he’s not wrong.
You sighed, “Sure, but I need to wash up.”
“That’s fine, if you don’t mind us barging into your house.”
“Johnny!” Taeil scolded.
You stood up once your shift was over. You’re completely used to him barging into your house, happens whenever he comes to visit. You didn’t notice someone was staring at you, someone from Jaehyun’s friend group specifically. You heard your dog bark and ran towards you, running in circles around your feet. You chuckled and picked her up.
“You guys are leaving me alone?” You hear a coworker say.
“Sorry, our shift is over.” Johnny said, making them pout and leaning over the counter next to the cashier.
You chuckled and began to leave, but stopped by Jaehyun’s table, “Thank you so much to taking care of her. I wouldn’t be able to work if you didn’t show up.” You said with a smile.
He smiled in return, “No problem, I figured she would act like this since you had to take her to the vet.”
You sighed, “Yeah, sorry you had to take care of her while talk to your friends.”
He shook his head, “Don’t worry about it.”
He was going to say something else, but you can hear Johnny complaining how you’re taking forever to talk to him. At that time, you caught that guy staring at you, causing him to immediately look away. You were confused until you hear Johnny complaining even louder, causing you to sigh, “Sorry, I need to go, bye.” You said as you waved to him and his friends, then left.
Few minutes later and you’re finally home. You sighed as you let your dog down and watched her roam around the house happily. You watched her for awhile until you realized that you had to clean up the house, which was something you were supposed to do, but didn’t happen due to work.
You took the time to clean up the house first, now it looks like it’s sparkling from the cleaning. You looked at your dog, finding her sleeping on her bed. Guess she wasted all her energy running around. You took a shower and got dressed. It didn’t take you that long, or at least you hoped. Washing your hair and drying it took you longer than you though, as your hair was growing long, and the fact that your hair was thick didn’t help either.
You were wearing a pink shirt and some shorts, since it was hot outside while you were getting home. You were combing your hair and putting all the strands of hair that you shedded in the trash. You sighed as you heard the front door open. You went to check and of course, it’s Taeil and Johnny. “Sorry we barged into your house.” Taeil apologized.
You couldn’t help but laugh a bit, “It’s fine, Johnny does it all the time, I’m used to it. It’s pretty much always locked, so if I hear the door open and no knock, I assume it’s him, he has the spare key.”
He nodded, he was about to protest, because he knows that’s odd, but since you’re used to it, he’s not gonna. You carried a small bag that’s also pink, then wore some white shoes. You went to check on your dog, and it turns out that she fell asleep completely. You smiled and quietly closed the door. “She fell asleep?” Johnny asked and you nodded.
Then you guys were off. You looked at Johnny, “Where are we going?” You asked, “Almost all the malls are closed at this time.”
“To an amusement park.” he answered.
You gave a confused face, “Those are open this late?”
“If you didn’t lock yourself in your house, you would have known.”
“Ouch.”
Taeil was about to scold Johnny until you chuckled, telling him that you were only joking. You knew Taeil wasn’t used to jokes, so you had to make sure he knows that you’re not offended.
Sooner or later, you finally made it to the amusement park. It wasn’t that far from your house, but you never acknowledge it. You looked around, seeing all the bright lights and many stands. Taeil seems to be happy, but you didn’t react to it. Johnny noticed, but he waited to see if you’ll react if you guys stayed there longer.
You guys walked around and played some games, winning stuffed animals or a pet fish. You watched them have fun, as that was enough for you. You smiled when they won something, laughed every time they messed up. You felt a familiar aura from somewhere, but you don’t know where. You decided to ignore it.
You found Johnny winning a stuffed animal, you smiled and clapped for him, but you paused when he held the stuffed animal to you, “You can keep it, a gift from me.” He said.
You blinked as you accepted the gift, “Thank you.” You said in confusion, “But why?”
“You didn’t seem like you were enjoying yourself, and that’s not the reason why we came here.” You see Johnny looking around, and he seems like he found something, or someone, “Look, Jaehyun’s here, and his friends.”
You blinked and turned around, seeing him laughing with his friends. You shrugged and went back to him, “So what?”
Again, what you didn’t know is that that same guy ended up staring again, which is probably the reason why you felt a familiar aura.
Later on, you got yourself a cup of lemonade as the other two got food. They offered you their food, but you kindly rejected them. You had a conversation with them, and you ended up coughing. You had to tell them it’s because of the lemonade, which is really sour, but you could handle it with a straight face. You let the other two take a sip and laughed at their twisted faces.
A few hours later and you hear someone call your name, you looked at it was Jaehyun and his friends. You three smiled and greeted them, you guys ended up talking for awhile, “Oh yeah! I should introduce my friends to you!” He said, as if he just remembered.
You nodded after being introduced to his friends, Taeyong, Lucas and Jungwoo. “Nice to meet you, Y/N!” Lucas said as you two shook hands, you nodded in agreement.
Though it seems like Taeil knows one of the three new guys you just met.
You hugged the stuffed animal that Johnny got you as if a child was sitting on you. The stuff animal is pretty much the size of a child, a white bear with red paws, like those valentines day bears. You liked how soft it is, and you could pretty much fall asleep on it at the moment, but not in public.
Jaehyun seemed to noticed how attached you are to the stuffed bear, “Who got you that bear?”
“Johnny.” You answered quietly.
He smiled, “Cute.”
“Um, Hyung, I think they’re tired..” You hear a quiet voice, but you’re busy spacing out to even react.
Though, he’s not wrong. You’re worn out from working without a break until the end of your shift. Really, all you wanted to do was sleep, but in reality, you’d stay up for who knows how long. You shook your head as you finally stopped spacing out and looked around, seeing Jaehyun and his group gone.
“Did you have fun spacing out?” You heard Johnny.
“Oh shut up.” You said as you rubbed your eyes.
“Maybe we should really go home, you look like your energy just disappeared.” Taeil said.
You nodded as you guys stood up and got ready to leave. You still hugged the bear as if it was your pillow that you hug at home, “We should go to Taeil-hyung’s house.” Johnny suddenly said.
You and Taeil shoot him a look, “Why?” You guys say in unison.
He smiled, “So he can play his guitar for us, it’s been a long time since he played his guitar.”
“Johnny, you know I haven’t played the guitar in years, AND you know how my housemate feels about me bringing guests over.”
He rubbed the back of his neck, “That’s right, you live with someone, besides, he needs to interact more anyways. All I see is him standing around and not bothering to talk to his friends. It’s perfect.” Then he whispered something in his ear.
Taeil seems uneasy about this. You look at both of them in confusion, but they won’t tell you anything. You sighed, “I have a dog to take care of, especially when I have work tomorrow.” you say.
“He can take you home.” Johnny said almost immediately.
“Johnny.” Taeil said in a serious tone, “Cut it out.”
“Alright, alright.”
You smiled, “But I’d love to hear you play the guitar, maybe it’ll help me sleep.”
You can see Taeil getting nervous, and laughed nervously. You were about to say that it’s fine if he doesn’t want you to, but instead, he said, “That’s fine. Anything to help my friend sleep.” His smile went from nervous to calming.
You smiled at his offer, and Johnny immediately started pushing you, “Let’s go before it gets even more late!” He said.
With Johnny’s pushing and Taeil following behind you both, you guys got to his house and Taeil opened the door. You guys entered his house and boy were you surprised. His house was super nice and clean. It felt like you were entering an expensive house that looks like a regular house from the outside. “You look like you never came to his house before.” Johnny said.
“It’s been months, okay?” You protested.
Johnny chuckled and Taeil couldn’t help but smile. You both took off your shoes and entered his house. Then you followed Taeil to his room and sat on his bed. Johnny sat on the chair by his desk as Taeil got his guitar from his guitar stand. “Taeil-hyung, you’re already home?” You hear a familiar voice.
You waited for Taeil to tune his guitar, and then you hear footsteps. That’s right, they mentioned someone else lives here with him. Last time you were here, he was alone. You looked at the door when you heard it knock, “Come in.” Taeil said as he tuned his guitar.
“I never expected you to come home n-” He entered and froze once he saw you and Johnny.
“Ah, Jungwoo. Sorry, I should have told you, but I thought you’d be asleep.” Taeil said. “You’re free to stay here if you want.”
He anxiously shakes his head, “I’m fine, I was just reading a book.” He was just about to leave until he popped his head at the door, “Also, are you working tomorrow?”
He nodded, “Yeah, why?”
He rubbed his neck, “Jaehyun-hyung wants to hang out at the cafe again tomorrow, and I thought you could take me with you.”
“I think it’ll be better if you go with Johnny and Y/N, My shift starts really early, and I don’t want you to fall asleep in the cafe again.” He said, causing Jungwoo’s ears to turn red.
You blinked, “So you’re the sleeping guy in the cafe!” you said, now causing him to run away to his room. “Oops.”
He finally finished tuning his guitar, “It’s alright, he’ll apologize tomorrow, or he’ll ask me to do it for him. And sorry about him, he’s new here so he doesn’t have many friends but the ones he goes to college with.”
“Right.” Johnny said, crossing his arms and putting his feet on the corner of the bed.
“Get your feet off of my bed!” Taeil scolded as Johnny laughed and did as he was told.
Then he finally started to play his guitar. It was nice and soothing, especially when you hear it for the first time in person. You can feel your body relaxing a bit and wanting to fall asleep. You and Johnny were enjoying the sound, Johnny had his eyes closed, but then he opened them again. He realized that Taeil immediately stopped playing when you finally fell asleep and your headed ended up being on his shoulder. Johnny couldn’t help but chuckle, “Guess they were that tired, huh?”
Taeil nodded, “Of course, now can you help get her to lay down? I don’t mind sleeping on the couch.”
He nodded and gently picked you up, making sure you wouldn’t wake up, and laid you down gently. You shifted a bit, just so you could be comfortable as his blanket was placed on you.
They left you quietly and made their way to the living room, but Taeil stopped by Jungwoo’s room, knocking on his door. There was no answer. He opened the door just to make sure, and it was just him fast asleep. Then he quietly closed the door and went to the living room with Johnny.
“Is he asleep too?” Johnny asked and he nodded.
“I’m worried about what he’s going to dream about though.” Taeil said, causing Johnny to give him a questioned look.
“Why?”
“He told me that he’s experiencing dreams with the same person in it, but he doesn’t know anything about them, only their voice. He’s been anxious about it since it first happened.”
“When did it happen?”
“When he first moved into my house. Knowing their voice is the most information that he has gotten.”
“Hm, Y/N has been experiencing the same thing, and no one else has been experiencing it but them, and Jungwoo from what you told me.”
“Do you think they’re soulmates?”
“Think? If no one else is dealing with this dream thing, then they’re definitely soulmates.”

You were just sitting on your porch as your parents were inside, reading a book as the other kids played around. Indeed you were an only child, and playing with other kids didn’t really suit your interests. You were just about to finish your book when you heard the door open, “Go play.” A voice of a mother said.
“But mom, I don’t want to.” The child said, his voice is soft, which was unusual for a boy.
You ignore your surroundings as the conversation was going on. When you finish the book you had, you stood up and dust your dress. You held the book with one hand and entered the house, without bothering to look at the boy who tried to refuse his mother, and yet, you felt him staring at you until you left his vision.
A few minutes later, you heard footsteps coming towards you while you were trying to find another book to read in the large book room that your father has. Of course, you were around seven at the time, so you didn’t read anything too complicated. He had filled some shelves with books that suit your age, or even a little bit more advanced. He’s mark them with a red sticker so you know which shelves were yours. The footsteps have stopped, causing you to look at the door that you left open.
There was the boy from earlier, but this time, he wasn’t clinging onto his mother, or so you thought from your side vision. You both stood there in silence, staring each other. All you wanted was to find another book to read, who knows what he wants.
He’s hiding by the door frame, as if he’s intimidated by you. Really, he’s just shy, or from what you’re experiencing anyway. He seems like he wanted to talk to you, or wanted to go inside the book room and look through the books. Whatever it is, you had to signal him to come inside so he wouldn’t just continue hiding.
He hesitated for a few moments, before slowly letting himself in. He still seems scared, maybe he shouldn’t have followed you in the first place. If he wanted to be friends with you, then he could have done a better job. You can’t blame him though, since he seems to be about your age, and even you have issues making friends. That’s why you don’t bother to make any.
You sighed and had to signal him to get closer to you, which he hesitantly did, until he was at a reasonable range. You show him the shelf, “Go ahead, pick a book.” You said.
He looked at you and then at the shelf, then he picked a book that he had never seen before, and luckily, you never read before either. Then he just handed you the book, but you didn’t take it from him. You can tell that he’s getting nervous again. You went behind him and pushed him towards the couch by the window. You sat down, and told him to sit down next to you, “If you don’t want to play, then we can read together, alright?” You said, almost as if you were trying to calm him down.
You see him smile, and agreed with you. You didn’t really pay attention to how he looked, more like you can’t really see his features at all. Then he opened the book and began reading, holding the book between both of you.
It was such a large book that the sky went dark and the lights suddenly turned on, but that didn’t bother you or him. It wasn’t too big for you, but from the look of it, it’s seems to be quite big for him that he’s starting to lose focus. “We can take a break if you want.” You suggested, and he agreed.
Now, you both sat there in silence, him looking around, swinging his legs as you just read the summary of the book, which you never do. Now the boy is looking at his feet, then he looked at you, “What’s your name?” He asked.
You knew what he asked, but you hardly could hear him. It felt weird to you, since it was the first time in the first seven years of your life that someone asked for your name, “I’m Y/N, what about yours?” Your voice started to trail off.
“I’m—”
The one time you used your alarm, it woke you up from your really long dream. Your dog started to bark and ran into your room and gave you a bunch of kisses. Honestly, you couldn’t be mad at her, even though you knew she wanted food. When she stopped giving you kisses, you got up and went to get food for her before starting your morning routine.
Though, you took longer than usual to do your morning routine. Most of the time, you just stood in front the mirror, putting a bunch weight on your hands, which were on the edge of the sink. You just stared at yourself, as if you were waiting for some scary figure to show up like in those horror movies in the bathroom.
Disappointed but not surprised, nothing happened. Though, you were mainly in thought, especially about your dream. The setting looked so familiar, and that book room, but you don’t recall being there once in your life. Yeah, that looks your parents house before your family moved to a much smaller house, and then you moved out from there.
Before you knew it, it took you an hour to finish your morning routine, and you hated taking forever. “Who was that kid?” You ask yourself, as you were getting your breakfast made.
“Who’s what?” You heard a voice.
You look over, seeing Johnny in his casual clothes for the first time. He had your spare key hanging in his finger, you sigh, “At least knock, you know I’m always awake when you come by.” You said as you finished up your breakfast and went to go sit down at your dinner table. “And remind me why I gave you the spare key to my house out of everyone I know.”
“Because we see each other the most, even more than the people who interacted with you when you were in college.” He said as he took off his shoes and went to sit next to you.
“Right…”
Despite him being just a coworker of yours, he ended up being one of the people at work closest to you. Though he doesn’t talk to you as much as Jaehyun, but you tell him everything, since you know he handles it well.
“Anyway, who were you talking about? Normally you’d be properly dressed when I come here.”
“No one important, don’t worry about it.”
“Well, you wouldn’t have question it yourself if it was no one important.”
Alright, he pretty much made you silent, but that always happens. You just ignore him and continue eating, knowing he’s going to ask you again about it after you’re finished. He’s just patiently waiting, even if you decided to take an hour finishing. He had his head resting on his hand while his elbow was on the table.
When you finally finished eating, you went to do your dishes, hearing Johnny playing with your dog. You went to finally put on some casual clothes instead of your pajamas and went to sit in your seat from earlier.
“So you changed.” He said.
“Only when someone’s visiting me.” You leaned back on your chair and crossed your arms.
He put your dog down and dust off most of the dog fur from his clothes, “So, go on.”
“About what?”
“Whatever you were talking about.”
“I said it’s nothing important.”
“And I said you wouldn’t have question it if it wasn’t important.”
You guys kept going on until you eventually gave up, causing him to give a victory smile, or was it a smirk? You sighed, because you didn’t want to tell him, but at this point, he’ll keep bothering you at work when you both work at the same time.
“Is it about not knowing who that person is again?” Johnny said.
“That’s literally the only time I talk about someone.”
“I should have known.”
“Do you want to know, or what?”
“Just spill it already.”
You took a couple hours to tell him, as much as you can remember. You told him in detail, what you were doing, the setting, what you were holding, just every detail you can pick out. He was listening to every word, though he wasn’t looking at you, he was really processing every word you say to him. “Say,” He said, “have you heard about soulmates before?”
You gave him a confused look, “No, why?”
“Nevermind.”
“Are you serious?”
“What was the book you were reading during your break?”
“A book about relationships, why?”
“What section were you reading?”
“The soulmate section— Oh my god, is that why I see him in every single of my dream?”
“Most likely.”
“How do you know about this if you never dated?”
“It’s called being up to date, thank you very much.” He patted your head, “And you should think harder about who he is, maybe it’ll help.”
“Definitely, when I don’t even know who he is at all.”
A soulmate au where you meet your soulmate in your dreams, but you never interacted with him. Strangely, you never see him before, unless you never realized he was there?
You were running around in a field of sunflowers. Cliche, right? Doesn’t matter, you love sunflowers. Your family used to have a whole garden of them before you moved away. Being around sunflowers was like being close to home, especially when your parents would call you their sunflower. You haven’t felt this happy in a long time. Of course your dog makes you happy, but also stressed at the same time.
Your dress and your sun hat swayed perfectly as you spun around the field. You always loved simple designs, especially with dresses. Just a single color would suit your preference. Too much design becomes a hassle.
While you were having the time of your life with sunflowers, there was someone else there. Except, they weren’t as happy as you. They were sitting on a tree branch, hiding their face in their knees. You approached, and yet you still couldn’t see their face.
“Are you okay?” You asked, even though it’s completely silent.
You found out that this person was a male, even worse, you recognize his hair and his body shape. When he moved his head away from his knees, there was a strong wind blowing by, causing you to lower your head and hold your hat and dress so they wouldn’t fly over the place, then—
You woke up immediately. You sat up and crossed your legs. You tried to think about what just happened, it all seemed normal. The only thing out of the ordinary was that boy. You were so close to finally seeing his face, it had to cut off right there. Honestly, that was one of the most frustrating things you have to deal with, seeing him everywhere and yet you don’t know who he is.
Well, you have to set that worry aside, because you have to go to work. You got yourself off the bed and did your usual thing, except the only difference is having to change to go to work. You say bye to your dog and took off.
You didn’t work anywhere that was cool, you worked at a cafe. Your actual job in the cafe differs. You either make the coffee, or you serve their orders, or be a cashier. In some occasions, you were entertainment, whether it’s singing or playing an instrument. You didn’t hate it, nor did you like it. It was something you didn’t really care to have an opinion about, you just do what you’re asked to do. Unless it’s something you can’t do, then you tell them that.
Today, you were making the coffee. Even though you’re still in view of the customers, you didn’t pay attention to them, just their order. Apparently a lot of people like it when you’re on coffee duty, even your coworkers like it too. It might be because of how efficient and fast you get the order done, and that makes the cafe much less crowded than when you were on your day off.
While you were making an order, you felt a very familiar vibe coming from someone. You assume it was one of your coworkers, even though you know that your coworkers don’t even give you a vibe.
You continued to do the orders as you hear them, until you couldn’t hear the next order. You paused with a look as you’re trying to hear, but then you gave up and looked at the screen where the order normally pops up. It was four lattes under the name Jaehyun. You made a face once again, knowing that you would be able to hear Jaehyun if he went to order.
When you finished the order, you slid the tray of the four drinks to the front for the server. You immediately went back to work, without knowing that the server went somewhere. While you were working you heard footsteps at going towards the drinks, “Thank you.” You heard, knowing that’s Jaehyun’s actual voice, and he walked away.
The crowd finally died down and you were finally being able to rest. One of your coworkers went up to you, “When did you hurt your hand?” he asked, of course, it was Johnny.
You were confused, then you looked at your hand, seeing a burn on the back. Guess you were too busy working to notice. It wasn’t horrible at least, though now that you realized you burned yourself, it really hurt. It wasn’t even the first time this happened. You quickly ran to the back to get the injury treated.
Eventually, you came back out, and honestly, you felt pretty stupid for not noticing it. Even worse, how didn’t you feel the pain until after you noticed it? Anyways, you were told to sit out longer, so your injury can heal, even if your break time was over. You sat in the back of the cafe, since you had to leave the seats in front of the counters for the customers.
You hated how loud it is, and you didn’t really notice until your break time was extended. You can’t use any electronics during work hours, so you grabbed a book to read. You didn’t really paid attention to the topic of the book, until it reached the topic that caught your attention. You read it, and you were so into the book that Johnny had to tap your shoulder, “Manager said you can go back to work now.” He said.
As if you had a different personality, you put the book back like you lost interest in it and went back to making orders. You were working as if you didn’t burn yourself earlier. Since the bandage was one of those rolled ones, it didn’t restrict the usage of your hand.
You can still hear Jaehyun in the cafe talking. You didn’t blame him for hanging out with friends, but he’s been here since before you injured your hand. Hasn’t he stayed here for too long? But you didn’t question it.
You finally were able to go home after a few more orders. You went to the back to get your things. You untied your hair from your ponytail as your head seems happy to finally have your hair be loose and free. Honestly, tying your hair gives you a headache sometimes, but it helps not get hair in your face.
From what you remembered reading during your extended break, it was something about seeing the same person in all of your dreams, even if the dream is completely different than when they first appeared. You read that it could be a soulmate thing.
Soulmate? Haven’t you heard that before?
Right, it was when your friend found their loved one. You forgot their name, because they completely cut you off after getting together with them. Not the first time it happened though, and couldn’t care less if it happened again.
Well, sad thoughts aside, you left the cafe and went home. As usual, you were greeted by your energetic dog.
