It was 1 am, and sleeping seemed impossible. Your eyelids dropped with the hope slumber but somehow you just couldn't slip into it. You associated your inability to sleep with the intense longing for none other than Jaemin's presence. You reached out for your phone which sat at the edge of your bed, clicking it on, praying that he wasn't busy at the moment. He's been in and out of town busy with schedules, but you don't blame him, he's just doing his job. And even though he is busy, he never forgets to update you on his whereabouts and he always makes time for a sweet conversation over the phone with you, tonight wasn't an exception. Clicking on his contact, you noticed a pending text message that he had sent about 3 minutes earlier.

"Hey are you busy? I'm at the hotel room and i really want to call if you can too! Im sorry if i woke you up i know it's late there." Your face lit up as you read it, feeling warm and fuzzy at the beautiful coincidence, instantly texting back.

"Hey! It's alright, I cant sleep anyway because i miss you too much 🤷🏻‍♀️" You typed, attempting to make the last part sound more nonchalant for your own humor. After he read that he immediately rushed to call, giggly that you missed you. You laughed at his impatience, seeing his name appear on your screen, answering his call. Answering the phone, you held it away from your ear, just knowing how loud he is.

"BABEEEEE!" He exclaimed cutely. You brought the phone back up to your ear and responded.

"I said i was the one who missed you but you seemed to miss me more." You said cheekily, grinning at the dimly lit screen.

"I mean of course, I always miss you." He exclaimed shamelessly into the phone. A slight blush crept upon your face at his forwardness, but ultimately you felt the same.

The conversation continued as you both discussed little things, like his activities and how your day went. Sorry mewhere in the middle of the conversation you both decided to turn on the camera so you could see eachother.

"So when do you think your coming back?" You said with a little frown, clutching a pillow closer to your hoodie clad body. He noticed your little gesture, grinning widely at your little shows of affection.

"Aww you're so cute! I'll be back really soon i promise." He smiled sweetly, resting his chin in the palm of his hand as he admired you through the screen. "You know, I really do love you, more than you think." He stated, entirely absorbed in you, even though you were miles and miles away.

"Jaeminnnnn-" You blushed, your hands covering your face as your short hair fell forward.  It was as if he planned his cheesy lines, when in fact it just came naturally to him. Even through the camera, you could feel the love in his stare.

It was comforting, and that’s how you found yourself slowly falling into a pleasant slumber. Jaemin noticed, but he didn’t mind in the slightest, he actually loved to see that you were so comfortable with him to sleep like this. He continued admiring your peaceful sleeping expression before whispering a gentle “Goodnight, my love.” before setting his phone next to his pillow, slipping into his own dreamworld.
