In Super Smash Bros you are able to make a custom character to play as. They can be a brawler (fists), gunner (guns), or a swordsman. When using fists you must be close to your opponent, thus making it a bit more dangerous for yourself. With guns, you’re just a coward hiding behind an overpowered tool. With a sword, you are about at an arms-length distance apart from your opponent, so if you’re both good at it neither of you will get cut. It’s also something of skill and guts, so it’s a braver choice. Also, swords look cool. In conclusion, swords are just the best and should stand for strength and logic throughout time.
