Bakura couldn’t see what was ahead of him before seeing a flash of white and crashing onto the ground. Slowly pulling himself up, he focused on dusting the dirt off of his sweater and pants instead of the face right in front of him. “Ah, I’m sorry…” He mumbled, “I didn’t see where I was going…” As he uttered the last sentence, he shifted himself up and finally looked at the person he bumped into – only to see that this was the last face he would want to see in Koi. He couldn’t help but feel his muscles tense up and stand frozen in place, it was a rapid change compared to the timid softness the other had just a few seconds ago. He wanted to run, but he couldn’t. Something told him that it’d be a terrible idea to do that, or it was a habitual fear because of the control the other had on his body for so long. Even if they were separate now, he couldn’t help but be scared… Especially when he thought the other was gone. ..So this must mean the Millennium Ring only lost it’s power because his Yami self had gained another body? Finally getting some guts to speak, he sputtered, “You… You have your own body… how?”
Something was quite wrong with this place. Since his unexpected arrival just days ago, the spirit had lingered in the shadows, observing his surroundings in order to make whatever sense could be made of the circumstances at hand. The cell phone he’d come to possess left him with more questions than answers, and the cityfolk were strange, other-worldly even. It was a situation as fascinating as it was frustrating-- after all, the spirit had a mission to complete, and what of it if he couldn’t even manage to locate his target?
A sudden and forceful collision nearly had Bakura toppling backwards, and as he made to steady himself, his brown eyes latched onto his reflection, lighting up with realization.
“ Well, isn’t this interesting... ” The look of deep-set unease on Ryou’s features urged a rather amused smirk to the surface, though his own surprise remained equally visible. His host had been quiet for some time-- in fact, as he now recognized, his host had been gone since he’d stepped foot in this place, and knowing this as truth could not have pleased him more. Could it be this body was now his to keep? He could come to no other conclusion. “ Heh-- That’s right... Looks like my RENT is up, Landlord... ”
