“Yes, in order to communicate with someone without my humanoid body, I require a physical connection.” She pauses for a moment, before letting out a small chuckle. “Technically, if you were to actually use me as a weapon then whenever you strike an enemy I can fling insults at them at the same time.~”

“...Is that all you’d be able to do? I sort of thought that usually, when someone takes the trouble to give a weapon its own consciousness, they also give it some further enchantments as well.”

“Just think of it as a way for me to have fun as well.” Al-Marie just let out a small, amused chuckle. “You’re able to speak telepathically, hm? Is that restricted to when someone’s holding you?”

This is probably why nobody used her for 2,000 years. Too impractical.

Other than her being a living weapon? She’s just a normal naginata with a somewhat elaborate design.
