Drowning Pt. 2
Drowning - Part 2
Azriel x Reader
Warnings: Anxiety, mental health, difficult thoughts
Your body felt so heavy, your eyes unwilling to open. You gasped out a breath you moved, your entire body aching. Hands slid behind your back, helping you sit up. The familiar scent of Azriel surrounded you, bringing your senses back to you as you opened your eyes.
You met Azrielās gaze, taking a breath as his eyes scanned you. He gave you a small smile, noting how your eyes lacked their usual shine. He had felt the reeling panic you experienced many times before in his early days as spymaster.
āLetās get you clean.ā He whispered, gently tugging your hands as he stood. He observed you closely, prepared to catch you if he needed to, not knowing how the shock and previous panic affected your body. As you stood, you reached for him, his arms immediately wrapping around your torso. He held you to him, letting you ground yourself before gently tugging you after him towards the bathing chamber of your room.
Azriel x Reader - Drowning Part 1
Warnings: Anxiety, mental health, difficult thoughts
You struggled to remember the last few hours - at least it felt like hours. Your thoughts swirled in your brain, no matter how hard you tried to find clarity. The feeling of raindrops gliding down your face brought a small reprieve from the storm of thoughts in your head. The waves crashing and crashing and crashing against your body, splashing your face as you sat with your knees to your chest in the churning sea, ironically kept you from feeling like you were drowning. Your hands sifted through the cold sand as you stared, unblinking at the dark sky ahead of you.Ā
You couldnāt hear the waves rolling, crashing against you, the booms of thunder echoing along the coast. All you could hear were those thoughts.Ā
Azriel x Reader - Hollow, Pt. 2
āAzriel?ā Elain questioned, turning slightlight to gaze up at him. His breathing had become labored, alarming her. āAzriel, whatās wrong?ā
Azriel could barely glance at Elain, muttering a soft āIām sorryā before turning and rushing through the open door behind them on the balcony.Ā
He almost began to sprint after her, needing to get to her ā
Azriel x Reader - Hollow
This was a night you were finally looking forward to. Ever since the bond had snapped into place for you and you alone, every minute watching them made your heart ache. A soft smile from Azriel to Elain sent the cruelty of The Mother to carve out another piece of your heart.
Elain would never come to Ritaās. It was so unlike her personality, her interests⦠just her in general. Azriel had been your companion at Ritaās many a time before, indulging you in an occasional dance when you could manage to pull him from the booth when all of the other members of the inner circle were off doing The Cauldron knows what. He always seemed to show a fondness for you that you held close to your heart, until she came around.
Azriel x Reader - The Fall
Warning: panic
It happened so fast.Ā
The moment you looked in his eyes, you knew you had fallen for him. Bodies writhed around you, the bass pumping into your bones as you stood stock still, heart pounding, eyes widening, lungs surging open for breath.Ā
He stared at you with intensity across the room, he shadows dancing about him. He rose from the table, not noticing how Cassian glared at him as he knocked his beer ajar, not noticing how Rhysand sent him a confused gaze.Ā
The words practically sang through the air around you - Mate. Mate. Mate.
He stepped forward, mimicking your movements as the crowd seemed to part to let you reach one another.Ā
Azriel x Reader ~ Burned
(a.n. This is my first one shot, please show me mercy)
Warnings: trauma, panic
The lights in the long hall of the house of wind gradually lighted and went out as you trudged to the kitchen. Stepping through the doorway, the house lit the lights for you in greeting. You managed a small smile, rubbing the sleep from you eyes. Ever since Nesta brought out the magic in the house, it had been your favorite place to stay, much to your mate, Azriel's, chagrin. You didn't mind sharing the space with the general and his mate ... Azriel, on the other hand, did (only when he was able to hear them, that is).
Now, the house was quite, as it was the well before the dawning hours in Velaris. Somehow, your light sleeper of a mate failed to wake after your hours of tossing and turning. Hoping a cup of tea would help, here you stood.
