shogakukan asia is publishing a bunch of the educational conan books in english, and of course they have the same preview widget as the japanese website (not even translated)

this is the second page of ‘the case of the stolen honey bees’ from ‘detective conan science files: the mystery of plants’, a textbook in which conan and friends solve mysteries using neat plant facts, and then explain these plant facts to the reader in more detail to complement the story

the comic is flipped for the english version since it’s a textbook rather than a manga, and while i did find the japanese version of the page i had already coloured in this one (and i’m too lazy to try and resize the japanese scan to match) so this’s wotcha gettin’

trappola di cristallo does translate as ‘trap of crystal’, but it is also the italian title of the movie die hard

and it’s definitely what’s intended as the reference seeing as the movie’s climax involves ran deliberately invoking die hard
