As a prelude to the “Songs from a Hat” concert, Banderas himself took the stage to recall how, when he first arrived in New York in 1985, the streets were filled with posters of Patti LuPone, but he didn’t have “a penny” to go see her musicals at the time.
And as fate would have it, at her first concert in Spain, the opening number was “Invisible,” from the Broadway musical “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown” (2010), based on Pedro Almodóvar’s film of the same name, which LuPone celebrated with a shout of “fantástico” in Spanish.
Another of the night’s highlights came with the performance of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” from the musical “Evita” (1979), the show that forever changed her career and made her “a star". Also memorable was the song “Calling You,” known to audiences from the film “Bagdad Café,” and “Lonely Town,” about which the artist lamented that lyrics like that are no longer written.
She dedicated "Being Alive," from the musical ‘Company,’ to Antonio Banderas, who was seated in the stalls; a title well-known on this stage because it is one of the Broadway classics that the Malaga-born actor has directed and starred in in Spain. LuPone also sang ‘Moon River’ and, toward the end of the concert, delighted the audience by revisiting another legendary title, ‘West Side Story,’ with the song "Something's coming".

This fandom is like one big bitchy family except they all hate each other and have alliances.

If you are not Venezuelan or live under this country's dictatorship, DO NOT SPEAK WITHOUT BEING INFORMED. It has been almost 30 years of dictatorship, watching the country grow poorer; people dying from lack of food; days without electricity, without water, without dignity; citizens of all ages being denigrated, tortured, and cut off from the outside world for raising their voices and defending our BASIC RIGHTS. I have seen my family and friends emigrate, seeking a better future because in their own country, the doors are closed to them. Like all Venezuelans, my love for my country is undeniable, but there is no doubt that the majority are not living with dignity.
I witnessed the events of the early morning of January 3rd firsthand, and I won't deny that it was horrific, but I would rather go through it a thousand times over for the results. If the price of freedom is death, I am willing to pay it.
The regime and its allies will never live long enough to pay for what they have done to us.
I don't like Trump. I don't like Nicolás. I don't like the dictatorship. My agreement with the end of the dictatorship and the justice we deserve doesn't mean I agree with everything the Trump says, thinks, or represents.
If you're worried about our oil, I invite you to investigate how money has been managed in Venezuela since Chávez came to power, just as you SHOULD read Venezuelan history from 1903 to 1927.
I don't want to dwell on the times of scarcity, or each year, or each person killed by these heartless individuals. Nor do I ask you to understand, because not everyone experiences the helplessness of living like this.
Okay, so as I said I ended up doing a few more Patti based tarot cards, on top of the ones that are already in print, and these are the ones that were in my head so much that I had to design them.
We have Libby Thatcher as The Empress
And Mama Rose as The Emperor
And Gia as King of Pentacles.
For those new to my art and my tarot designs, I draw everything by hand with nothing more than a digital pencil tool and an ipad. I don't autogenerate or use AI and because I draw everything freehand, this means there will be imperfect lines or imperfect shading.
They definitely fucked at some point
I can't explain how much I love Lilia Calderu.
This character arrived at an unexpected moment in a series I started watching only because Patti LuPone was in it. From the moment her light appeared on the screen, she brought thousands of dimensions and worlds unknown to most with her.
I watched many series and movies about witches that ridiculed our beliefs, our way of living and seeing the world, our history and our experiences, until Agatha All Along exceeded my expectations. That miniseries touched my heart and soul; full of history, symbolism, rituals, and witches like you and me, with problems and difficulties.
I've heard thousands of people romanticizing spiritual gifts and witchcraft, and all I can do is laugh; not because it's funny, but because they don't mention that the curses often outweigh the blessings and that is reflected in the film industry.
And don't get me wrong, I love my life. But many times, when I feel trapped in my body, when people are desperate, when I see beyond what I should see (and the list goes on) and it has gotten out of hand, the true weight sets in and overwhelms me.
And I'm not going to lie to you and say that everything is horrible, because I have had thousands of experiences so beautiful that they are indescribable, in which I have connected with exceptional Deities and wonderful souls, but it is not something to be taken lightly.
Lilia is a character filled with experiences, powers, and infinite possibilities, perfectly written and performed in a story that forces us to navigate issues that many of us bury or wish to hide. Before her, the only character who had most moved me and made me question my decision to repress my spiritual gifts was Clara del Valle (and this came up when I read the book, because even though I love the movie and Meryl Streep, it doesn't do justice to the book). Although the blockade only lasted 2 years and it was 5 years ago, it formed a large part of my life and my knowledge.
Calderu came at a similar time, where even though I live off my practice, I am not immune to doubt and harm, and my journeys are increasing. But when I saw a woman I could relate to so deeply, which I hadn't in years, embrace her whole self and it was so liberating, I was able to, for the first time in a long time, embrace my light and my darkness and proudly say that I love being a witch, despite the historical conflict around the word.
The final, and bonus, Patti tarot card. It has taken so long because drawing mini versions of those posters by hand took FOREVER!! And for those who are new; I don’t use any AI or auto fill/auto process etc; everything is drawn by hand with a digital pencil and a blank canvas, and there will be imperfect lines because of this. And below are the other four cards that complete the collection. I will be making these available for purchase as actual physical tarot cards within the next month
My fave genre of women

Mariska Hargitay on the The View (June 26, 2025)
I'm so fucking in love.
What the hell happened with the Agatha All Along tarot deck? They threw away the symbolism and meaning the cards should have. As a tarot reader with years of experience, I can say they had the material to do it correctly bc the series has situations (and characters) that can easily be related to the message of each card. But honestly, I don't know what happened there. I expected so much more.
