@nefarious-intent
I also make a point of greeting the receptionist whenever I come in—she’s a dear, and I’m sure she’d love to meet you all too!
There’s also, as you mentioned, the lunch lady and her staff, a few lab assistants here and there, other members of the janitorial staff... many, many wonderful folks! They make my workdays far more enjoyable and I’m grateful for their company.
Occasionally, all of the Rangers are called out to make an appearance at an event of some kind. It’s at such events that I’ve had the privilege of meeting my youngest admirers. They are small in number, but every one of them matters to me—it’s an honor, being held in such high esteem by such creative, intelligent, and brave young ones.
If I can inspire them or give them hope, even if just a little, then I’m happy. They make everything worth it at the end of the day.
He doesn’t have any wiring yet—nor programming, of course—but his chassis is mostly complete! Once he’s finished, I’m going to patent his design and find a corporation willing to partner with me to produce more of him for the public.
There’s still a long ways to go, but I’m determined to see this through!
Hey, Neffie! I hope you’re having a nice day! I drew you a little something, because seeing you and your blog brightens up my day!
Remember, you ARE the BEST and your fans apperiate your brilliant work and someday other rangers will too!
Thank you so much! I have just the place for this—the cork board beside my desk, so I can look at it whenever I need a boost!
What in the world did I do to deserve all of you?
Oh, but forgive me! I’ve spoken out of turn... I shouldn’t be burdening all of you with this.
However, on a related note...
I just need!! To stay!! Positive!! And everything will turn out alright!!
There’s a picture of me when I was younger that provides a glimpse at how obsessed I was with comics and such things. It’s around here somewhere, hang on....
Ah ha! Here it is!
And I’m still as awkward and uncomfortable now as I was back then. Some things never change!
Hello all!
I hope this post finds you all well! (it feels odd, typing this out instead of addressing you directly... hmm.)
I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that due to an increase in my workload, I won’t have as much time to answer your messages during work hours.
As such, I’ve decided to dedicate the bits of free time I’m able to snag during my day shifts to questions of a more serious nature (i.e. my job as a ranger, questions about my coworkers, etc. etc.), while my evenings will be used to answer more humorous or personal questions in the comfort of my own home—er, my apartment.
Thank you all for your continued friendliness and kindness! I look forward to continuing our discussions with a bit more frequency!
Yours,
Nefarious
And speaking of people I haven’t had the chance to meet...
They’ll return to our system someday—of this I have complete faith, and I’m very much looking forward to that day!
I sketched up a visual aid that displays the traits I share with both species for your convenience—please excuse my lack of drawing ability!
But as I said, it’s just a hypothesis at this point. One of many potential possibilities.
It’s much easier just to go by Nefarious—so that’s what I do!
Um! Well! Oh my goodness! I’m—I’m flattered!
It’s an honor to serve as a Ranger. Knowing that what I’m doing is helping others, even if somewhat indirectly, makes me very happy indeed!
