I know I've reblogged similar sentiments before, but in the name of the internet's need to have things spelled out:

I have seen some stories that were more impactful than their transcripts, because the vocal tone, literal timing, and body language helped sell it. Text can struggle to replicate those things. Video stories have value.

I have read some stories that were more intense than their audio format, because the written tone, physical text spacing, and word choice helped sell it. Audio-visual formats can struggle to replicate these things. Written stories have value.

Two or more ways to deliver information does not make the other way invalid. Just different, and each then suited for their own mediums.

I also wrote a similar comment on this post before, but:

Their tone of voice, their facial expressions, their mannerisms. These are all thing that add to the story that would not be present in a simple transcript of it. There is value in verbal storytelling. It's not always about the speed in which you can take it in! (And having a video-only tutorial is a different conversation than the original post specifying a "story.")

It's not a generational divide, it's people who are lumping all categories of information and storytelling together, and refusing to see nuance or value in different methods.

But if not for kneeling, why kneeling shaped? I think I've painted him pining and yearning, but I really wanted to paint him somewhat at peace with the final decisions, even a tad bit satisfied? and with self-acceptance, because ultimately he is a man who does kneel. (in my head canon anyways) I've also painted him kneeling here. Possible missed detail after the jump~

His eyes are actually open. This piece is inspired by JC Leyendecker's "New Rochelle" piece, I have a few more rookanis leyendecker studies comin~ Also if you want a brilliant fic where Lucanis does end up kneeling and dramatically so, @rookanis-de-riva has finished there amazing indulgent fic for me. The first chapter is sfw, and then it just goes wildly nsfw so mind the tags.
