stirring to consciousness, the first thing aaron could recall was the hours and hours and days and nights of EXCRUTIATING pain. a few times he’d convinced himself that he’d died and the pain he felt was hell itself. the severe jump from dozing at his desk to writhing because his veins felt like they were doused in fire was too extreme fo his mind to handle. too SURREAL. —- but it had come to a stop and he could finally think outside the boundries of pain.

before his tall form could completey rise off the bed and process the ancient walls and impossibly classical art decorating the room he resided in, a lone female voice - as beautiful and melodic and music - caught his attention.
