thinking about black sails season 3 episode 1 and how throughout the entire episode flint is shown dismissing silver as a fraud who "somehow got to worm his way into the men's heads." and after while he's pointing out silver should have coinvinced the men not to pursue hallendale's ship, he goes i would have told them that SOME of us are proper pirates and SOME OTHERS are just pretenders who are going to be exposed for the charlatans they are and deserve whatever's coming for them. and for a moment the pretense is dropped and he's not talking about hallendale but looking straight at silver who looks like he's going to turn around and throw up overboard because he knows flint is talking about him even as he then goes, btw that's just what i would have said to coinvince the men
