(Actually, I’ve never encountered a cat-worshipping Kemetic, ancient or modern, but maybe someone does somewhere.)

*raises hand* i… sorta do this?? Its more of a big respect thing, but i honor cats in Bast’s name. I wouldn’t say i worship them per se, although it probably comes close XD but i do treat them like i would a revered ancestor, with a lot of dignity and respect, and maybe some offerings of food to the local strays whenever i can afford it. (i treat my kitties at home more like best friends, though. I will push them off the couch if they’re in my spot– after all, im a Bast kid too :P)

I’m on board with this. I don’t worship cats, but I have a soft spot for them on account of Bast and this filters into the way I interact with them.

That being said, I’m pretty sure my cat thinks of himself as a deity (don’t they all?). He is pampered.

My mom, brother and I are getting kicked out of our current house.

We have seven days to find an apartment, get packed up and move all of our stuff.

We don’t have any boxes from our move in five months ago, as we didn’t expect to have to move out.

I am collecting boxes in the alameda area, but I am afraid it won’t be enough or I won’t get there before recycling comes.

Boxes at Home Depot run about $3 per box. We need money for rent for an apartment and every dollar counts.
