Man, this wizard city is neutral. I just saw a guy clap his hands together and say "hear me clap" or some similar shit, and everyone around him heard him clap. No one around him even cared that's how neutral it was. My ass is casting mildly interesting spells and level 2 ambivalence. I think I just heard "power word:nothing" two groups over. I don't feel any way in particular about leaving or staying.

another hard pill to swallow: so much of the mental health/self care/positivity discourse in the past years is enabler behavior.

unfortunately, we as a society, especially online, decided that the best way to make people feel good is to treat them as babies, telling ourselves it's completely fine to live in stillness, to never get out of our comfort zone, to pat ourselves on the back for just trying or for not even doing anything other than existing. and yet people continue to live miserably, constantly trying to fill voids they don't even understand, while sharing these empty buzzwords.

it's time to grow up and grow out of this spoiled state of mind. no, it's not actually okay to sit around in the dark of your bedroom everyday, glued to your computer, videogame or phone, totally sedentary, eating trash all day, experiencing life through screens. it's not actually okay to never clean your house, never go outside, never try new things, never do anything that may result in some anxiety or discomfort. you're not actually doing your best by just sitting around waiting for a magical solution to arrive. you're actually making yourself sick and sicker.

if you're unsatisfied, change your life. no way around it. nobody will do it for you. it's literally do or die.

Should probably get a job but it's kinda hard to study and work at the same time and depression is debilitating and I am always too exhausted even to do it like 2 times a week. I do not know how my peers have enough energy for that.

When I was in middle school I couldn't get a textbook in it's physical form because there wasn't any left in the library and we couldn't afford one. So my mom (software engineer) found a website where you could buy a pdf of said textbook and hacked some shit in this website and pirated a pdf and printed out all 350 pages of it via her work priner (for free) since my class wouldn't let us use phones/tablets even for textbooks. I still think about it

"Mischaracterization" and "woobyfication" and "infantilization" of a character is not a real issue. I do not understand. If I like a character and I want to make them cute, or i like a part of them that is particularly cute to me, why can't I highlight that? Why is that a bad thing? I do often find "grown ass man" type characters cute. Because I am just like that.
