Tuesday, Oct 25, 2016 Chase and Easton ditched Heidi and I today. Can you believe those guys? Actually Heidi was taking a nap and I was working at my desk when I heard Easton say, “Hey Chase, let’s go grab a coffee”. So they both decided to go into El Centro and find a coffee shop…without us. No matter, a little later Heidi picked up her cane and I grabbed my walker, and Chase and Easton’s parent’s shuffled over to Monte Bianco, the ice cream store and coffee shop by us. Wednesday, Oct 26, 2016 Some days Cuenca is a crazy, busy place. The four of us were meeting Scott and Aurobindo for dinner at Sofy’s for Mexican night. I made reservations for 6:30 pm and a few minutes past six I fired up my Easy Taxi app to get one to our house. After 10 minutes of trying and being unsuccessful to get a driver to pick up my request, we decided to take the bus to El Centro. The bus stop is at the end of our block. Wednesday, Dec 7, 2016 Big shopping day today. Toilet paper was at the top of the list! I never thought I would miss, or even notice, the finer aspects of quality TP, but living in Ecuador has brought that to my awareness. Thursday, Dec 8, 2016 I spent the day writing and coaching. I did go to the restaurant next door for an almuerzo, and after that I didn’t make it out of the house until 6:30 pm, when all of us left to go to meditation at the OM Healing Center, 516 Avenida Paucarbamba y Tomillos. Our friend Auro leads it and tonight is his last session for awhile. He is going to Canoa for a month to help with the continued earthquake relief effort there. Friday, Dec 23, 2016 The sun is out and the morning is filled with the sound of waves hitting the shore. Shorts, flip-flops, and a tee shirt is the uniform everyone wears here. I’m in my element. Heidi, Donna and Don, and Melody have headed into Portoviejo to Supermaxi to get our groceries for Christmas day. The rest of us get to hang out either at the ocean or the pool while they are gone. I found Chase and Easton at the Ocean. Chase had his earphones on and was doing his Spanish lesson. What a great place to study

Friday, Feb 24, 2017 Bus Travel Back to Cuenca Our trip to Olon was a success. We found a new place to live! You are going to really enjoy the pics I will post while living there. Here are a few pics until then. We had a shaky start on our way back to Cuenca. When we arrived at the bus terminal in Olon our 10:45 am bus was not there. Evidently it had broken down somewhere, so we were moved to the 11:45 am bus. Not a huge deal. Heidi and I just walked back to the Road House
