It’s interesting that this is coming from a trans identified person! I guess that they’d probably argue something about “fetishisation of trans men” instead of getting to the root of the issue, which is homophobia* and misogyny**, but it’s nice to see that they’re even pointing out the trend in the first place.

Something about Crowley and Aziraphale’s first interaction Before the Beginning makes me think Aziraphale was crushing on Crowley from afar but was too shy to approach him, possibly because of their difference in hierarchy. The way he nervously introduces himself and the way he looks over hopefully at “look at you, you’re gorgeous” gives me big “the cute popular guy asked to borrow my pencil, this is it” energy. It’s very “on October 3rd he asked me what day it was.” You can’t tell me Crowley didn’t spot him and wave in passing a few days later and Aziraphale lost his shit because omg he remembers me

I've been thinking about yaoi and fujoshis in particular today and something I've noticed for a while now is that the yaoi isn't even gay anymore. One of the characters will always be turned trans (usually the bottom, clearly also the self insert) idk when the change started but it has definitly gotten more obvious lately. (I think I first noticed it like..maybe 2-3 years ago, I'm sure male characters were transed in these ships before that too but again, it is like..9 outta 10 times that it happens now with m/m ships)

Anon, please do not get me started lmao. The amount of gay ships where one is turned into the opposite sex is genuinely insane. The homophobia is right there but nobody acknowledges it.
