I noticed something that I think should be actually taken into consideration for this big battle that Horikoshi's been setting up for us.

I saw someone who wrote earlier about how they think All For One had stolen all the previous One For All holders' quirks, and that they thought that Shigaraki was being given those quirks in his Noumu-fication. Then I was looking at this particular page of 257,

and my immediate thought was, "why does this remind me of something? Where have I seen this before?"

And then it hit me.

I was thinking of this scene animated, that visual of him rising, floating, up and all I could think about is how much more fucked up the fight at Kamino Ward was. All For One was using Nana's quirk while telling All Might about how Shigaraki is actually Nana's grandson. All Might had to watch All For One use his mentor's quirk. Can you imagine how much it hurt him to see that? And then All For One just adds the icing on the cake: Shigaraki Tomura is actually Shimura Tenko. No fucking wonder All Might almost gave up.

Anywho, with the way ch. 257 ended, I wouldn't be surprised if the first thing that'll happen is that the hero course kids will be sent out to cover for the missing heroes, exactly the way Hawks thought would happen. Basically, it seems to me like shit is about to hit the fan, and we should brace ourselves for the onslaught coming our way pretty soon.

Aizawa’s actually an even bigger softie than I thought. He doesn’t even permanently kicks out the students he “expels”, he reenrolls them after they learned their lesson.

Since now Shirakumo is in the official story, I just wanna point out that the parallels between Shigaraki (Tenko) and Eri are much stronger considering Shirakumo/Kurogiri says that "he can't leave people like Shigaraki alone." And Aizawa is also taking care of Eri. Eri accidentally used her quirk to hurt someone in her family. So did Tenko. She has physical scars from her abuse. So does Tenko. Eri took to running to the streets to find someone for help. So did Tenko. Only difference is Eri ran into someone who was actually willing to help.

It is genuinely fantastic to see the manga acknowledge that being a kind person does not require you to forgive someone who has hurt you. We see Natsuo remember what Deku said, and Endeavor flat out says that he doesn't need to forgive him. If Shouto does someday forgive Endeavor, it won't be because he's kind, but because he chose to. And it doesn't make Natsuo any lesser for being unable to forgive him.

I’m happy not bc I hate Endeavor but I’m enjoying the logical part of it. Not like in every typical manga plot, when after one good action everything is alright. And we gonna see mama TODOROKI with her family 💕 I’m so in love with this arc!!!

BRO NOW THIS IS WHAT WE CALL A REDEMPTION ARC DONE RIGHT OMG

I’m loving this for Endeavor??? I think he’s a really interesting character and honestly I was a little worried about how they were going to go about his redemption arc because things like this are so hard to tackle without putting the abused in the wrong somehow but I love how this arc has expanded on how Shouto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo all react differently to Endeavor’s..... endeavors to make them a family again: Fuyumi doing what she has to to bring her family together again, Shouto completely shutting him out but with that almost unwanted desire to forgive him, and Natsuo not wanting to forgive him at all due to what he did to Touya (WHICH WOAH,,,, PLEASE TELL ME THEYRE GOING INTO THAT)

I think this was the best thing Enji could’ve done for his family, and I’m really interested to see how it ends up panning out (Plus, Mama Todoroki coming back???? Yes sir). You can tell that Endeavor has thought a lot about this and genuinely wants to make up for what he’s done, that his efforts are out of love for his family, not any self-serving need, and I really appreciate that. Also that he knows that there’s a chance Shouto and Natsuo may never forgive him but he’s not going to give up on trying to do the right thing.

So nice work Horikoshi, on this realistic and in-depth redemption arc :))
