I can’t do the #10yearschallenge because I have no selfies as such from 2009 because that was the time I hated myself.. I had very bad acne from my face to all over my body.. my face was full of acne and everyone around me would say things like “why are you so fat” ever since young to some it may be a joke but to me who was having difficulty accepting myself it was like a death sentence.. I thought I don’t deserve to see sunlight as I was too ugly.. I would refuse going out with my friends ad I felt that I shouldn’t.. i hated taking photos.. I have very low self esteem like legit low.. I really hated myself for not being the “standard beauty” instead a fat and ugly duckling.. it took a very long time to accept myself.. but eventually i did.. and today I’m happy to say “FUCK you” to standardized beauty.. you don’t have to be skinny or have flawless skin to be beautiful.. and MOST IMPORTANTLY other people’s opinion doesn’t even matter.. even today people still say “you’ve gained weight” instead of hiding at one corner I just turn a deaf ear.. I DECIDE when I wanna change I DECIDE my own happiness so I decided to turn deaf to Negative comments and love myself.. and just do what I wanna do.. getting crazy hair colors and tattoos sure some might think I’m some Ah Lian but heck it as long as I’m not hurting anyone what I do to myself is entirely up to myself.. today I have over thousands of selfies LOL!
