People are spending so much time watching movies, writing about fandom stuff oe doing research on an actor because they're missing the adventure in their own life. When it feels too boring they just escape in a world which is more exciting.

So being in a fandom mostly isn't because it's chill and much easier than going out but because real life is quite boring.

For me, being in a fandom, watching a movie or interviews with actors is the opportunity of living a different, exciting life.
