Health and Hygiene Measures:
For healthy growth and development, we ensure providing ‘nurturing care’ for all our students. We prioritize their physical growth and cognitive and social skills development by providing adequate nutrition so that they feel safe and secure. At Little NEMO’s, we also focus on good hygiene practices and healthy lifestyle by following some measures –
· We always encourage parents to give their children healthy snacks and meals.
· We also request that all parents inform us if their child is allergic to food.
· Importantly, we also check if the child’s container is labelled with their name so there is no chance of misplacement.
Without fail, our teachers and staff ensure –
· All children wash their hands before and after the meal
· If the tables are cleaned and sanitized before and after the meal
· Children are not allowed to share their food to prevent any chance of spreading germs
· Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting playing surfaces and toys to reduce the spread of infectious diseases
The moment your child steps into our daycare or preschool in Victoria Trail, their physical safety is our optimal concern. At Little NEMO, we understand that not all children are the same. Neither everyone is capable of fully articulating their needs and concerns. Hence, we follow certain safety measures to provide a safe space for all students as well as our employees.
Children with curious minds tend to touch every object and even taste them. We always want to encourage their curiosity as it is necessary for their reasoning and social skills development. Hence, we take every possible step to make the daycare facility childproof.

Take care of all sharp corner
Ensure no electrical connection is within their reach
Check the flooring is not wet and sleeper
Remove all small objects that could cause children to chocked
Examine toys and various learning materials are not made of toxic products
Keeping hazardous products out of reach:
We store all cleaning products, hazardous products (cleaning supplies), dangerous products (scissors and knives) and tiny objects that could cause choking hazards in the locked cabinets, out of children’s reach.
At our daycare, we ensure that our first aid kits are well-stocked and easily accessible. Moreover, our staff members are trained to avoid unwanted emergencies using first aid and CRP.
Little NEMO’s Daycare follows a well-thought-out emergency plan for fire or other hazards. We also practice fire drills and lockdown procedures along with the children on a regular basis.
Most Importantly — Communication
Last but definitely not least, we strongly emphasize the power of communication for effective health and safety practices. At Little NEMO’s Daycare, we encourage parents to have an open line of communication, informing them of our guidelines, policies, and emergency measures.
