Everything and nothing.
Words and words and more words.🩷
The absolute worst.
Albert Camus, from a letter to María Casares featured in Correspondance, 1944-1959
...or, we almost did. still, the last sentence remains true. ♡
I don’t even know if it’s something I learned, this habit of believing I’m some sort of burden; that I shouldn’t ask for anything. I don't want to inconvenience anyone, so my lips stay sealed tight with, "other people have it worse, you can endure it for another day".
And here I am, missing people I shouldn't miss.
L. V., exhumed writings
Whoever abandoned you in the middle of the ocean has no right to know what the sharks did to you or how you managed it to the shore.
Sometimes, I just want to exist near you.
I love hearing your voice, but right now, I think I’d rather sit with you in silence.
Maybe I’ll be reading a book, and you’ll be doing your own thing, we'll be in no haste to fill the quiet with words.
Just being.
I love my solitude,
but I love it more when you’re in it.
I'm actually so very tired,
It's this bone-deep tiredness that I'm afraid won't be fixed by sleep.
A need to go lax and boneless.
Utterly at ease.
