I feel like they were trying to be inclusive by having Maxxie hold his ground and not be "turned straight" but they like overcorrected

I wanna think it's not intentionally malicious towards trans men but also it totally comes off that way in 2026

i also really wanna hope that it wasn't hurtful on purpose, but it was early 2000s and trans ppl weren't treated well at that time either, so idk. pissed me off so bad i had to stop watching
