What is it about typing fanfic that attracts the cats?

I can beg for their attention all day, ready to give them pets and cuddles, and they hide in the darkest depths of the house.

But when I start writing, suddenly they're both, "HEYYYYY, human. Whatcha doing. That looks fun! We're going to lie here and watch you obsess over the computer screen. Our human is so silly."

(Also you’re a teacher, teaching can be especially life kidnapping cus you spend so much time wanting the best for your kids you tend to sometimes get lost in the swamp of work. I owe so much to my teachers and have so much respect for teachers in general. Thank you for everything in that regard also)

Thank you for your kindness and support. During the school year, I do tend to get completely sucked into work. I absolutely want what's best for each of my kiddos, and their needs always take priority over my own relaxation (read: fandom life). You said it. I really appreciate your understanding!

I vaguely remember a kidnapping and Kanon locked up in a hotel, and spy rescue attempts. Something about kidnapping Kanon back. There were lots of stairs. Too many damn stairs. It was very annoying.

More specific details have been lost to time and space upon waking up, but rest assured the dream was extremely convoluted

Nova was scared visiting a new place and hid behind the furniture.

Nimbus was brave and went exploring. Upon realizing Nova wasn't with him, he went back for her and cuddled close in reassurance.

Cutest thing: one of my little girls gave me an extra gift. "Nimbus and Nova deserve presents, too!"

I have never had a family include gifts for my cats. (Methinks I talk about my cats to my kids a little too much... Eh, there are worse things.)
