this guy just finished cleaning up the sketches of all 98 pages of Black of Night (?? Nattsvarta in Swedish idk maybe I'll just not translate it)

trying a sort of reduction technique with masking fluid, hoping all this masking fluid is gonna come off without taking too much of the paint with it 💀

#never tried it to this extent #covering the whole paper layer by layer #and then I'll have to do it again with the other section #all i do is wait for things to dry at this point #listening to the southern reach trilogy which is incredible btw #a lot of similarities with RS but an entirely different direction #very cool

So... I found this and now it keeps coming to mind. You hear about "life-changing writing advice" all the time and usually its really not—but honestly this is it man.

I'm going to try it.

give your characters exes.

give them a variety of exes. give them relationships that shaped who they are but did not last. give them people they tried very hard to love but it didn't work out. give them situationships that taught them things. give them something deep that was real but could not endure. things that hurt. things that ended amicably. people with whom hot passion cooled to warm affection and became undying friendship.

no more first and only. give me the context of what made them know the next or one after was final and right.

#wolfman called Wolf #you see what happened is that the was a regular German guy so it wasn't an especially strange name #and then he became a wolfman but his name is his name #he isn't German anymore either though so at least his parents probably didn't know #or they were bad at picking names #people do react to it in canon #would be crazy if they didn't #he became a wolfman i mean we changed his background
