I guess this is my way of giving Messmer a kinder ending. I really wanted him to make it back to the Lands Between…so I made it happen, if only this once.

Duality is one of the things that makes Messmer such a complex, deep, and fascinating character. The feared demigod driven by righteous wrath, burning cities to ash to avenge his goddess mother’s people...and the broken being hidden beneath, a scorned son consumed by sorrow and by the serpent he carries within.

There is so much meaning in Messmer's character, not only in his past but in the motivations behind his actions. Anger, self-hatred, and the suppression of the part of himself that is perceived as wrong are probably the most evident of all. But if I had to choose the theme that I think feels the most powerful, I would say it is acceptance.

Acceptance of his nature when he shatters his eye-seal and releases the Abyssal Serpent. Acceptance of his own doom, and of the fact that his mother truly abandoned him when he realizes the end is near.

Pain and tragedy is what haunted Messmer through his whole life, nothing and no one could change that, but I like to think that through acceptance he found, at last, some measure of peace before death.

I was a little unsure about Nightreign at first, character customization is super important to me...but Revenant really grew on me! I actually like her a lot >///<

Did this as a warm-up before work today. I really wanted to make something special for his anniversary, but alas, work left me too burned out to finish any of my WIPs in time 😔

Still, I couldn’t let it slip by without offering something, however small.

It's always surprising to me how many people interpret Messmer and Rellana as canonically lovers, when in truth, any romantic feelings between them seem entirely one-sided, born solely from Rellana's unrequited love. Perhaps it's just me, but I believe the only person Messmer ever truly loved was his mother Marika, or the memory of the woman she once was before becoming the distant cold goddess we know now

Behold, my first mod! 😂

So... for those who've been following my little blog since I started it last year, you might remember that one time I said I really, really wanted to learn how to make (cool outfit) mods. Well, I finally grabbed some tutorials and gave it a shot!

I started with a small project: wearable Elden Ring seals ✨✨

I chose the Finger Seal first, since it was literally the first item I got at the start of my second run (in my first run I don’t think I even touched a seal lol). And because I love a good challenge, I also added physics to the necklace 😂

Anyway, it turned out pretty cool, and I think I’ve found a new hobby (as if I didn’t already have too many). I’ll probably end up making all the seals into necklaces and if I get good at this asset-porting thing, I might branch out into other stuff like weapons and full outfits as I really want to bring over my character’s cool drip haha

I tried my best to make my tarnished in Skyrim but even with mods it's just so hard to get the face and skin color right! I've to stick to her early look before she got Frenzy Flame eyes and scars, at least till I figure out how to get those in Skyrim 😂

Heyo! I’m still in love with your Nine Hells fashion series! Do you have any plans on making them into prints in the future?

Hiiii 😊 yes I'm adding those to the print list as I go, so far there's only the first five Hells but hopefully I'll be able to add them all before the end of the year (Messmer obsession permitting 😂)

Now that I think about it maybe I should write a pinned post or a proper introduction about my blog with a link to the inprint account for those interested, so people won't need to dig through my old posts 🤔

This outfit turned out to be one of my new personal favourites, even without the big fancy cape, I just love the dramatic shapes and that intricate armor piece 😁

The winged snakes were Messmer's constant companions.

They were there when the base serpent was sealed away behind his eye. They were there through his eternity of suffering.

They will accompany him yet, in his hideous new form, born when he destroyed the grace granted by his mother. They have accepted his fate as much as he.

I know I said I wouldn’t do anything serious for Messmer until I figured out a definitive style for him, but I had to get this one out of my system, else I was gonna explode 😅

It’s not perfect, his face or hair might change next week, the snake placement’s probably off, but I don’t care. This wasn’t about looking pretty. It was about letting out a feeling that hit me while sketching a sleeping Messmer with the snake wrapped around him (the helmet description really got me 😭).... It’s wild how just a few lines of text can carry so much sorrow! I’ve never cried over a piece of fiction, but reading the heartbreaking lines right after his death almost made me

Back from hiatus! The last few months left me way too burned out to start any new fanart projects, but at least I managed to catch up on some games I’d missed because of a raging Bg3 addiction that lasted for over a year 🙈

Elden Ring SotE was at the top of my list, and suffice it to say... Messmer happened.

Turns out I've a weakness for red-haired, troubled men of twisted morals who have symbiotic relationships with eldritch entities (Anders from DA2 was my first and strongest video game crush, I guess some things never change) Messmer completely wrecked me...I never thought I’d end up thirsting over a Soulsborne boss... and yet, here we are 😆

So yes, apart from the usual stuff you can expect a LOT of Messmer content coming 🐍🐍🐍

Still in the process of figuring out a style for him (and his snake friends) before doing any big piece, but have some Messmer expressions in the meantime! plus a silly smile one because cursed snake prince really deserves some happiness 😔
