Sterling K. Brown and the character he portrays as Randall Pearson is so unbelievably important for today’s society and every single episode of This Is Us I am further blown away by his personal deliverance of this incredibly realistic/complex character that proves adoption can be successful, POC should live against no stereotypes, marriages can be absolutely beautiful and healthy even against all types of odds and that mental illness doesn’t mean something inside of you is broken. The writers, Sterling…I hope they understand what they are doing for television, media, and for every person that comes across this wonderfully crafted and unbelievably real show. The picture of hope that lies beneath all the madness is there for absolutely all of us.
