Okay! So, expanding on this. I would think that Morty's addiction is to adrenaline. He chases it, the rush, the dopamine, and the feeling of success. Morty goes on adventures despite not wanting to go with Rick, he hates being normal, and hates being stationary.

so based on that one scene of our beth's original rick leaving her house as a child in a memory-based flashback, that's when we can assume he left her forever since memory rick had instantly replaced him & that rick is never mentioned again

now, how does diane's "omega-devicification" work timeline-wise??? she was supposedly deleted from all timelines, but that just doesn't make sense when talking about the multiverse, since everything is happening at all times

did our beth's diane just ... disappear one random day in her teens, or did she never exist at all? and now we have a paradox because if diane has been erased from every timeline, then beth should not exist either, or summer or morty

I'm gonna try to explain this in the way I understand it, but uh. I don't live in a primarily english speaking country. So.

Personally, I think of it as how, sometimes, you wanna say something, and it's just at the tip of your tongue. It was there in your mind at one point, but suddenly, it's not.

So like, Diane was alive for a bit, then she "died" before Beth got pregnant w Summer. So then Diane was put in TDTCN(The Device Too Cool for a Name), otherwise known as the Omega Device, then she just. Stopped existing. She was there, but then she's just not. Beth knows her mother, knows who she is, but when she tries to remember who picked her up from school, who took care of her when her dad left, she just can't see her face. She knows her mother but she doesn't remember Diane.*

Ofc, this is just MY interpretation of it. It's just, if Diane didn't exist in the first place, Beth, Summer, and Morty wouldn't exist. So.

I got sudden thought. Rick say to Morty in s9ep4 "Thats genetic deasise, it's already in you Morty!" What if its his way of coping with the fact Morty is related to Rick Prime? He trie to make himself more connected to Morty even in such negative way like alcocholism. Make seems like Morty is more like him than Prime. The new Promo and Rick calling Morty "a bait" kinda support it. Cause he still can't accept that his favorite person is related to monster that ruined his life.

There's something to be said about the fact Morty evolved to be the lowest thing on the food chain (plants) and Rick evolved to be the highest (human-ish)

...and yet despite being the lowest being on the food chain, he was the one who gave to others instead of taking lives. He, ironically, became the first who escaped, not through violence, but through peace. And isn't that exactly what Morty always wanted to do?

Rick, on the other hand, solves everything through violence. He takes, and he uses people to his advantage to get what he wants. Though his reasons might be good, he still uses those who trust him, and pushes those he cares about aside(presumably to have little distractions), just to get what he wants as fast as possible. He cuts through every obstacle, and pushes those around him. And isn't that what he always does?

Idk. That's all I could think of. Uhhh....Something something, symbolism for how Rick is in a cycle of destruction, is aware of it, and is very much capable of stopping it, but just doesn't care as long as it gets him what he wants, something something, symbolism for how Morty will do whatever it takes to achieve peace and freedom without violence.

im not the first one to say this but i do think itd be really sweet if they actually confirmed that the morty brainwaves block out ricks brainwaves bc theyre so dumb thing was bullshit, and what was actually shielding rick was his like compassion vs ricks selfishness or smth

Well, brainwaves aren't JUST based on IQ, and also depend on EQ and other stuff. Like, EMorty was rlly smart but he's still a Morty so his brainwaves are basically the same with MortyP. Even "Tall Morty" is still.... Uh, technically a Rick, so he'd have similar brainwaves to other Ricks as well.

And we've seen Morty show his intelligence so many times, that even if brainwaves DO base on IQ, it would've long changed.

It's likely that Rick and Morty's brainwaves cancel each other out because, like Morty said, their personalities are so different. I'm not exactly sure what makes up brainwaves, but it's probably along the lines of what he said.

So yes, that "Morty is so dumb his brainwaves cancel out Rick's" thing is absolute BS.
