It's been so long... Since glittergolf...
I know. ;_; I'm very sorry to disappoint! My FNAF fixation died down a bit several months back. It isn't gone by any means, I still have intense fondness for it, but a lot has been going on since then and I've been mostly working on custom designs and OC stuff in the meantime.
That being said, I'm always open to glittergolf suggestions! A prompt for a writing drabble, a sketch, some headcanons—maybe inspiration will strike.
Please take a few FNAF magma doodles from the past few weeks it's the least I can do. @nerdytatertot & I have developed a Security Breach AU (I selfship with Monty ;;) which has been a lot of fun to draw for!

i'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?

Detective Pikachu means everything to me unironically. the Detective Pikachu series as a whole holds a very special place in my heart. yeah, the plot is simple and leaves more to be desired for most people (including me), but it's charming and fun and I love how it explores the world of Pokémon outside of battling in a unique way. it also has Mewtwo in it and that was the biggest draw for me in the beginning lol
I usually rewatch it when I'm feeling stressed n need something to calm down, a little sad and need a picker-upper, or when I'm just bored and need a good little movie to pass the time. I love rotating it in my brain like a microwave

Finally, after almost 2 months of work, I finished my detective Pikachu zine. I’ve been having fun with those recently over on my insta, but this one I put in too much work not to share. I know the backgrounds are very…. Euughhh at best, but I felt like I just needed to have them and go all the way because it made everything seem so satisfyingly finished. Anyways, detective Pikachu is my favorite thing in the world so if I was ever gonna spend 2 months on a project regardless of the arthritis pain, it’d be this.

Day 5 - Rival or Enemy
TWO PAGE COMIC BABYYY! I didn't mean to make a comic, but I did anyway :']
I wanted to use this day as an excuse to infodump some lore. Maline doesn't currently have a rival/enemy (it's still up in the air), but what she does have is a vendetta with Mewtwo. during the R incident, Maline's beloved Espeon was one of the casualties of a berserk Pokémon. Not only was she heartbroken that her family was taken away from her, but she grew a strong hatred to those responsible for the creation of R. this also included the source of R: Mewtwo.
Mewtwo feels responsible for the creation of R, even though it was out of their control. again and again, he's inadvertently been responsible for the harm of humans and Pokémon and he's trying their best to stop it. but they were too late to save yet another victim.
Day 4 - Friends and Family contrary to popular belief, Maline does have friends. introducing her bestie, Alisa! a fellow psychic who specializes in precognition and fortune-telling with the help of her partner Pokémon Xatu. they both bonded over their psychic abilities and troubled past involving R. history books will tell you they're only friends (which they totally are). Mewtwo and Maline have a mentor student type dynamic but in a complicated way. I wanna save that stuff for the next day so stay tuned.
Day 3 - As an Animal
I thought it would make more sense to draw her as a Pokémon since she is in the Pokémon universe. Kadabra was the best contender because 1. she's a psychic and uses spoons a lot and 2. she hates Kadabra. the irony was too good to pass up. as for why she's a shiny uh idk I thought the softer colors suited Maline better
