this might be a controversial take but even though it's pretty, i'm not a fan of the new art style...like they're beautiful for sure but i think it's because of that, that it makes them feel less unique now

like take zack and daniel, for example: even though they have the same hair colour, they were easy to tell apart at a glance e.g zack's features like his eyes and mouth are sharper compared to daniel's

but in the new art style there's not much to tell them apart...? (i get that it's small daniel in the panel but given the fact that the two bodies are said to be super similar at this point let's just roll with it) like, i first saw lookism 531 through the korean raws, and i was super confused bc they all looked ... similar ... even with dg it was a struggle to tell who he was without the text helping you know ...

i don't know, i feel like you can tell that at this point ptj is trying to churn out as much profit from this series as he can so he decides to make the characters as attractive as possible at the loss of their uniqueness TT you know what, i'm convinced that he secretly desperately wants to write a gay love story ("unrequited love is painful" my ass) and he's channelling that desire by making them all look like they came straight out of a bl manhwa LOL

i don't know, maybe i'll warm up to it as the arc progresses ... they're pretty for sure but it's about finding a balance i guess

So he went from “Kenji” to “Ken” at school. And at tryouts. And at college. And in his career…

I’m a firm believer in that his given name is his weak point. “Ken” is the all star pretty boy with the world title on his shoulders. “Kenji” is a boy who loves baseball and saving the world.
