this probably works for most string instruments including violin, viola, cello etc. basically any instrument with strings and a neck should be detuned (but loosen the strings, dont tighten them christ)
Seriously loosen them. Had it happen to a ukulele I was given. Nearly had it happen to my guitar once too! Maaaajor signal boost here.

I guess what i’m trying to say is if you think your cosplay isnt good, just keep at it, find new things to experiment with, eventually you’ll get it to how you want it, it just takes time, trial and error, cosplay isnt about perfection, it’s all about learning new things and having fun..and having numerous hot glue burns.
