Sareena and Bi have been watching the latest Mortal Kombat movie 🎬
bullshits
So, Bi-Han and Sareena were a couple in high school. It's really quite interesting. Would you mind writing a little bit about what they were like? Only if you want, of course. ^u^
Hi love!!!! I'm sorry for the late response, I lowkey left the fandom for a while, but I will answer this with pleasure, kiss kiss :3 Btw im not giving their dating just yet, BUUUT I'm giving you the moment just EVERYTHING started.
So, in the timeline of my fanfic, Bi-Han decides to enroll in high school after some convincing from Liu Kang; Hence, he had to take some tests and introductory lectures to know where he stood academically. (Math, English, History. Whatever.)
Around that same time, Asrah won the custody battle over her sister and became her legal tutor (Sareena had been in Juvie Hall since Quan Chi's gang involved her in a case of Armed Robbery).
And yes, Asrah enrolled her in the same school. Yes, at the same time frame.
On a Monday at 8-9 AM. A worksheet was handed to a handful of teens, no more than four.
Each equation seemed engineered to make them suffer. Dreadful groans filled the small room, and the colorful posters of "You can do it!" Seemingly mocking them.
Bi-Han's pencil hovered over the first question: log118=?
What in the world was "Log"?
He put down the pencil, swallowing deeply as he thought about getting up and leaving. He would tell Liu Kang that he had failed the test, that it was not worth it- that the teacher had told him that he was a lost cause.
Just as his mind began planning his lie, the woman who had handed them the sheets cleared her throat and spoke with unnecessary saccharine. "Remember, kids. This doesn't have a grade; it's only to see how much you know. You don't have to feel bad if you don't understand anything; it's not your fault."
Suddenly. Motivated by pure spite of the woman's condescension, the whole "We don't expect anything from you." Bi-Han returned his attention to the exam. What did she know? He bet the woman was desperate to
The door opened, and a woman in her twenties fumbled with her car keys, a bakery apron, and his little sister. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't- The traffic was terrible, I brought Sareena. I hope she can take the test, if it's still okay."
"Oh, but of course. We had just started... Though, don't make this a habit." The insufferable teacher said, staring at the other before turning to the teenager and cooing at her.
"You must be Sareena. What creative eyeliner! Do you like art?"
"No."
This answer made Bi-Han snort. Covering his mouth with his palm, he finally lifted his gaze to see who the eyeliner-wearing girl with an attitude was.
And what a sight she was.
Her hair had been box-dyed something dull and dark, teased into a chaotic bird's nest, with two long streaks of white hair at the front (Though yellowish on the ends). Her eyeliner -The thing that the teacher had noticed- was something he'd never seen: Vertical lines stretching from over her eyebrows down to her cheeks, paired with very heavy dark eyeshadow... Or was it greasepaint? Who knew, maybe Papa Emeritus I. Her lips were black, and to top it off, she wore an oversized, neck-cut Nina Hagen shirt, the bird-faced singer glaring at the others as if whatever had happened to the chlorine-stained garment was entirely their fault.
"Alright, sweetie, why don't you take a seat?" The older woman cleared her throat, ushering inside the 4´11 bundle of Teenage Angst--not entirely pleased to have Motley Crue's love child in her class.
Sareena's eyes examined each colorful corner of the room as if each hand-drawn flower on the wall killed her doubtfully-existent soul. But then, they fell on him. Scrutinizing his appearance.
Bi-Han could not help but stiffen.
The baby bat had not only made him smile- Only slightly, mind you- but she had stunned him. Her appearance, so royal and chaotic, metal chains (The real ones, not from Hot Topic), gloveless fingers, painted nails, a fake tattoo design made with a ballpoint pen, security pins, handmade crucifixes, torn pants and those big, big black boots that had been triple tied on her legs as if to make sure they stayed put...
Had made him feel incredibly underdressed.
Even if he suppressed a nervous expression, he could feel the blush creeping into his face as she began to approach, leaving her worn-out bag next to him. Then she sat.
Bi-Han returned his attention to the test, trying to forget about the self-conscious feeling this acne-ridden girl had left on him. But then, she spoke. Loud and clear.
"Cannibal Corpse sounds like Squealing pigs with stomach issues."
The room fell silent.
And for one, Bi-Han felt proud of understanding what she had just said; Unlike the rest of the horrified test-takers.
Bi-Han tightened the grip on his pencil, trying to keep his stoic face. His brow twitched; the comment had made an impression on him. Not only because she decided to pour her musical opinions on him, but because she had recognized his Band shirt. The only distinctive thing he had was that he looked like Alternative in his very polished outfit.
Gritting his teeth, he muttered a response.
"I don't like the band. I borrowed this from my brother."
"So you agree with me, then. They sound like squealing pigs."
Bi-Han nodded slowly, not staring back at her, even though she had been trying to face him.
His ears burned.
"Silence, please. We're taking a test." The teacher reminded them.
"Yeah, sure." The girl rolled her eyes and leaned over Bi-Han's math question, confident and smiling as she placed her finger over the alternative D) 3. "It's this one," she whispered. The teacher noticed, but decided not to act on it.
Bi-Han looked at the alternative, then at her. Unsure.
He said nothing, but she immediately understood that Bi-Han didn't trust her math skills.
"I know everything about Logarithms. I used to do them out of boredom, you see, that little number over there? Well, you multiply it and... voilá. 3."
Bi-Han blinked. Well, at least she knew what that thing was called. That made her immediately better than Bi-Han at math, at least. He marked the letter D tiredly. He just hoped she was right. But with her confidence, she surely should be.
"I like Omnium Gatherum." He whispered back, embarrassed, not believing he was continuing the conversation willingly.
"Of course you do." She guffawed, amused. Which made Bi-Han freeze for a split second.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Bi-Han muttered, stunned. Had he said something wrong? Did it fit with his personality? Was it his vibe?
But the girl had already turned her attention back to her worksheet, going through the exercises as if she were in a race. Page after page, she read the question, then marked, then continued.
He couldn't help but stop all his work to stare at Sareena and reflect on her comment. Under normal circumstances, he would have dismissed whatever stupid comment someone had made to him, but she had struck him in a place he wasn't quite comfortable sharing. Music.
Sareena scratched her head with her pencil, lifting the test only slightly to reveal what she was dealing with, some question about grams. He quickly searched it over in his worksheet and read it.
"A sealed container of powdered supplement weighs 2.85 kilograms. Each serving requires 2.5 scoops of powder, and each scoop holds exactly 26 grams.
If two people each take one serving per day, how many full days will the powder last before it's empty? Will there be any powder left over?"
Grams. He knew about grams very well; he helped his father weigh those bags back home. It wasn't that hard.
He ripped up a piece of his exam and began scribbling on top of it. "22 D. 26 G. What did you mean by Of course I do?" and tossed into her side. His eyes were wide, waiting for her to read what he had written.
As she untangled the small paper ball and read, there was a beat. Then a cackle. "Of course you do. Omnium Gatherum." She repeated, as if to taunt him.
He breathed inwardly, offended.
"Shh." A boy next to them huffed as he tried to concentrate, slapping himself on the forehead.
A few hours later, the results dropped.
Bi-Han held his test and scrunched his nose. Below Average, and the question Sareena had so confidently told him it was 3? Wrong. Absolutely wrong.
Just as he had been preparing to leave, the baby bat pushed her test into his chest, pointing an accusing finger at him.
"You gave me a wrong answer, Math Boy." She complained.
Bi-Han checked it. Even Below Average, as if it were possible.
"You did too." He sighed, pinching his nose. He had to return to work. Or else his brothers would have caused a mess in his absence.
Sareena's frown turned into a surprised expression, then into a chuckle. "Did I? Oh. I'm sorry." The girl hummed sheepishly, following him towards the exit. Not really asking.
"It's fine." He replied tiredly. He had to hurry. He could already smell the kitchen burning and hear Thomas's voice saying, "I didn't mean to."
After a while in silence, both were walking down the street. He asked again.
"What did you mean by that?"
"By what?" Sareena asked distractedly, untangling her headphones and plugging them into her Nokia.
"... The thing about Omnium Gatherum."
"Oh! That... Well, one single rhythm the whole song, guttural voices talking about the unknowing... Music for squares. Boring people."
This seemed to catch him off guard. A square?
"Do you think I am?"
"Yes. Polished boots, fitted shirt, and jeans, a slick back bun... It's predictable, really."
Self-Conscious, again. And then, motivated by some strange impulse to one-up her, he went.
"Well, you're too chaotic for a metalhead. Nina Hagen isn't-"
"That's because I'm Goth." She waved him off, slightly annoyed.
Touche.
Bi-Han smirked and lowered his gaze."I-... I also listen to Sabaton. He put his hands in his pockets and decided to walk her home.
His brothers could wait.

Drawing a Random Mortal Kombat Character Every Day Until I Finish The Series Roster - Day 6; Sareena!
FINALLY A FEMALE FIGHTER 😭😭😭 This was seriously beginning to just look like some lame gentleman’s club until now fnsjsnsn!!!
Anyways- as mentioned, today’s character is the demon warrior of the netherrealm and former servant of Quan Chi; Sareena!
Sareena’s a niche fan favorite who has always been a character that is either heavily teased in the games- what with her being featured alongside Li Mei in the mkx story mode, or her role as a Kameo fighter in Mk1, it seems though Sareena always just barely misses out on being fully playable. Which sucks considering she only has 2 playable appearances, one of which is a GBA port 😭😭😭
All in all, very happy with her turnout!!! See you guys tomorrow for day 7!~
